Dude, you're fighting with a cat.   Get over it. I love dogs and cats, but I hate when dog lovers feel the need to hate cats. Calling the cat a 'complete prick'. You're putting more stock in this relationship then the cat is, that's for sure. Some cats/dogs are more territorial about new people being in their house, that's all.

If you plan on staying around long, you have to wait for him to warm up to you. If you're not staying long, just ignore it. It's not a big deal.

Cats do that too.  Ours does.  They follow me when I'm carrying a plate, meowing for some morsels. 

One likes me and the other one hates me, for some unknown reason.  The unfriendly one hisses and claws at me when I try to pet it, so screw it, I stopped trying to be friendly.  I only throw scraps of food to the friendly one. Hell, I find myself watching the bad one when I'm wearing shorts, just so it doesn't try to scratch/bite. 

Dogs are still the best

i have a cat, dog and fish, i love em all. Animals are the best, they dont care about your money, looks, or what car you drive. They are way cooler then 98% of humans.

Cats have top 3 survival skills on the planet. They are built, bred and designed for superior hunting and athleticism. They're sharp as a tack also.

Worship them. Egyptians sure did along with about every other royal family across the world.

I love big cats... because they are far away from me and I can watch them on tv.

Didn't mean to offend cat lovers, from what I understand some cats are great pets -- I'm just saying that the way some people 'hate' snakes and are creeped out by them, I just feel the same about cats... they have crazy eyes.  It's a known fact that the dead watch the living through cats eyes.  Plus they strut around like they run the show.

If the cats stay in your room mostly..you have a problem.  Two cats in a small space is too much.  Aside from animals being very territorial  they need space....much like you and I.  I have 7 cats BUT i also have 2 acres and they stay outside a lot. You need to find a home for the one that doesn't like you and the other one will do  fine.  Cats are better than dogs if they are going to be in the house. Dogs get lonely really easy and will tear uyp things if left alone in the house. Hiope this helps.
