Club, as I said before I was doing a few things as I was typing and didn't proof read, it should have said Plenty of people said they had. Ex, people who been pronounced dead and able to revive. Now I read many stories and I definately don't believe them all, but I do believe some are true. Sorry for the confusion
no problem, i wasn't sure where you were coming from with this.

In my 32 years I have never seen a bigger fraud...
I'm calling out those of you who believe in a higher power, and yes I even include those of you who think the Universe/creation was created by a higher power...I am willing to bend a little on the fact that the big-bang/string theory hinges on something creating that, maybe...
But my point is to hear from those who believe in a higher "magical power" since I think it's truly fucking fraud....Yeah you might justify how you got african nations on your side, but I believe there are millions across this world who believe in: Muslim, Christianity, Judiasm, or hinduism...So who is right if hundred of millions think they are correct...Seems a little fishy to me, but hey what do I know I'm a science guy and think you're all bullshit....
Please prove me wrong, since I've become such a non-believer advocate that I'd put most of you to death for being such a moron and ruining my planet...No shit, explain how I'm wrong....I know God knows what I'm saying and as Carlin would explain "he has time to worry about billions of us" let alone the other worlds...
It is such a moronic concept that I beg anyone w/ ballz to explain why they think a "god" exists..And why I'm wrong. And NO I won't accept "God told me so"!!!
wow, seems like a great guy doesn't he? i bet if we have a purpose in life and if we don't whats the point? but if we do, i feel the purpose would be to not act like this, you are clearly lost

you dont have the answers but other peoples ideas are wrong?
It's not ideas....it's beliefs. At least you should get that right. And for those that don't believe in God, their answer is that they don't believe in God. My answer is I don't know. But either way, they are both answers. Don't pretend that they aren't.
A scenario I'd like some opinions on:
Person A: Troubled kid in high school. Convicted of stealing a car as a senior. Never went to college. Raped an underage girl when he was 22.....served 5 years hard time. Was released and then convicted of selling drugs 2 years later. Served 1 year. Got out and then was convicted of murdering a person because he would not give him his wallet. He is convicted and serves 25 years.
While in prison, he finds God. He emerges as a 55 year old converted man. He loves God. He has repented.
Meanwhile, we have Person B:
This person loves mankind. He always felt that it was right to give to others. He volunteers regularly spending time with the elderly at a nursing home. He is a member of big brother/big sister. He contributes $1,000 a year to the American Cancer Society. He pays his bills on time and loves life. He is walking down the street as a happy 29 year old when Person A comes up to him, demands his wallet, and shoots him when he doesn't give it to him.
By definition, Person A and Person B either have to go to heaven or hell. There is no other option for those that believe in both.
Who goes where? Does Person A get into heaven because he has repented? Person B can obviously not get into heaven because he doesn't believe in God.
According to the religious, Person A could get into heaven because he has repented (see your clostest clergy). Person B has no chance.
Who is more entitled? I'd say Person B because they believed in living the right life. But God apparently will banish the person to hell because that person didn't believe in Him? C'mon people...how fuked up is that?

I have had numerous people tell me that they have heard from God.....how do I know if they are getting the right message?
How do they know they are talking to god?
Religion was invented because it was necessary. Its the easiest way to control the masses. It was/is used as a tool to contain the human race and to make money. As we get to stay on this little planet for longer and become more educated, religion becomes less important.

the funny thing is that when we are born our minds are clear of everything and we learn and grow up preaching what we are taught.
So, lets say for instance the bible said a 20 foot penis with red hair was "god"...is that what everyone would believe in?
What if there was no bible?...then what would be everyones views on religion and god?
just something to think about. For all we know, the bible is just a made up book to get everyones hopes up for when we die. After all, its just a book.

By the way, for the person who is banished to hell by God because of the evil they did (let's say they committed murder), why would the devil want to make them burn? The devil equals evil and I would think that he would want him on his side. If that's the case, why burn that person?
If the devil exists and loves evil, he would welcome and love evil people to his kingdom and ask him to do his dirty work.
How can you banish a person to a place that would welcome them?

You don't read the bible!
After Satan has his reign here on Earth, Jesus will destroy him and toss him into the fiery pit, along with all the non-believers.

seriously you want to argue the difference of a belief vs an idea, more people have an idea that God might be real, than actual believes that have it as part of there beliefs. As, for your person A vs person B,1) Person B hasn't reach age of accountability 2) If there is a Divine being that created everything, you don't think he would be able to figure it out? none of us here on covers is god, but your asking for an answer that you could only get from him? people continue to talk about 72 virgins, Catholicism, Mormonism, radical people that rally at funerals of soldiers, non of this is Christianity. Asking for proof for something that's based of faith, seriously? once you get to know God and have a personal relationship with him, ask him whatever you want

I am scared that you probably get to vote.
Person B hasn't reached the age of accountability? What is that age? So a 16 year old that shoots up a school gets a free pass? Wow.

Why is He waiting? Does he like to torture us?
He let 50 million people die in WWII. Yet when he chooses, he can appear and toss the devil into the fiery pit? THAT'S WHERE HE LIVES WITH THE EVIL PEOPLE....HE WILL LOVE THAT. SO WILL THE EVIL PEOPLE. So his fiery pit is worse then the devil's fiery pit?

Hutch if you have your own ideas or beliefs that's your business but to try to talk about a book you haven't read, it's like 1,000 pages we will be here all day with the basics.......
according to the book we are debating.......
Satan doesn't like hell, doesn't want to be there
