First and foremost, It is sad that because of his position, that his personal life is out there for everyone to comment and judge him on. I know it comes with the territory, so he has to deal with it.
Be cetain, that he WILL continue to dominate upon his return.
But my 2 cents is as follows: (and 90% of you will disagree)
Point #1. I firmly agree with him telling the media to stay away from his kids.
Point #2. I honestly don't think he owes me, you or anyone else in the public an apology for anything he has done outside of the golf course. I think you should apologize to your children for you allowing them to "idolize" Tiger in the first place, plain and simple.
Point #3. He shouldn't have gotten married, but as he said, he thought he "played by different rules", so shame on him, and if it cost him half, so be it.
Point #4. The other golfers on the circuit have NO BUSINESS "commenting" on the Tiger situation, they would be in ALOT worse shape without Tiger on the tour, but i guess it is easier to kick a man when he is down and be a coward, then to welcome him back and THANK him for making them $3 million+ purses every tourney he plays in.
Point #5. He SHOULD have said "I am NOT sorry for getting caught, I am TRULY sorry for the pain i have caused my family". This would have gone ALONG way as the first reaction to any person apologizing is "they are just sorry for getting caught". If he says this he is being more genuine, IMHO...
Point #6. Was the timing bad? Outside of the 10 people actually at the golf course watching, did you REALLY gave a sh*t about watching these duds have "match play"...it was horrible at best. I think it was great timing for Golf, best rating for "golf/golf related" all weekend and probably all season, until he returns.
Bad situation for "Great Golfer". He COULD have written his own statement, but as I said previously, I will not judge his "personal life"...I would hate for him to judge mine....
