Steve Buscemi, James Gandolfini, Bryan Cranston, Michael K. Williams, Matthew McConaghy, Steve Carrell are and were no jokes either.  

Steve Carrell's new role in Foxcatcher could win a ton of awards.  Movie is supposed to be amazing.

That's a good point and spot on but culturally here (US) there is a difference in the words in most people's minds.
Best actors still most impressed by Downey Jr and Seymour Hoffman and Di Caprio. To me it's tough cause I find myself trying to figure out if I like the female actor cause she's good looking or a good actor. I like a lot of movies with Angelina Jolie in them and actually think she's a very good actor but also really good looking so I'm unsure of my motivation same with Charlize Theron. Just purely on acting chops I can say Cate Blancett and Meryl Streep are very good. Some more I think can really capture a role but again I think they're pretty good looking are Emily Blunt and Amy Adams.

with what would have been about a 035 blood alcohol level.  that movie should have been animated and a comedy. 

i agree about de niro.  he went from one of the best to doing a bunch of crap.  he needs to fire his agent.

Depends on how you evaluate best..

Does best mean a ton of movies or does best mean best performance?

I like actors like Matt Damon, William Macy, Chris Cooper, Ed Harris, Paul Giamatti etc etc

This is a killer list of the type of actors that if they're in a movie I'll probably like it.

Also the type of actors that I liked before I knew their names.

Macy and Giamatti are too old and not lead actors.

Harris has been solid in practically everything he's been in.......
