Who's The Best Actor Going?

Matt Damon?

The scripts made his movies his acting is not good.  You can tell he's acting in every movie and that's not good.  Rounders was a great story but Ed Norton and Malkovich pretty much made that movie.  Damon was below avg in it

I disagree about his Pirates franchise work. He delivered on what was expected. Was it my favorite? Hell no! But he delivered and is on cusp of a hall of fame resume. I can't quite say what role he has played that has defined him, but his body of work is among the best of them. From Edward scissor hands to George Jueng in Blow. Donnie Brasco was Herat and Fear and Loathing was too. This guy is as dynamic as it gets and I don't think his pirates work lessons his entire body of work, but enhances his overall resume.

Isn't everyone's first thought of best actress Maryl Streep? The discussion for best actor is a better one. As to your comment earlier, I made the title "Actor" instead of "Actor/Actress" on purpose, so they were right to think I meant men.

Definitely the second. But if they're in a ton of movies and put on great performances, then sure. I like all the actors in the Fast and the Furious series but I'm not running out to see other movies of theirs.

Leo (Wolf of Wall St, Basketball Diaries, Inception) 
Christian Bale (Figher, Empire of the Sun)
Robert DeNiro (Godfather II, Casino)
Pacino (Godfather, Scent of a Woman, Devil's Advocate)
Colin Farrell (In Bruges, Pride and Glory)
Brad Pitt (Fight Club, Moneyball, Snatch, Spy Game) 
Ed Norton (American History X, Rounders, Fight Club)

But, my favorite performance might have to go Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder.  The guys plays an Australian who plays a black guy!  And he killed it!  The guys is a great actor.

male or female, they're all actors--just like engineers, bus drivers, painters, workers, waiters (only idiots use 'waitress'), singers, comedians (only bigger idiots use 'comediennes')
