A woman so convinced that she was black became head of an NAACP chapter. I'm not making this up, because you can't. Her parents "out'd" her.

Many years ago I was told by loving parents (for the record - a man and a woman) that "son, u live in America - u can grow up to be whatever u want to be." Being young I didn't come back with "Daddy, if I want to be a woman or black, is that a problem?" I'm sure I woulda been told no, but hey they had old fashioned limited beliefs...

Rachel Dolezal, announced in a statement this morning she is stepping down from her position....as president of the NAACP in Spokane, WA....after parents provided a birth certificate from Montana affirming they were her parents and that they were white...

The parents provided her birth certificate ..Hmmm .. is it the long form birth certificate?

NAACP's mission  is "to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination".

was Rachel Dolezal a prominent civil rights activist who  was helping fulfill NAACP's mission?

She has issues( the lies , false hate crime reports ,her personal identity ..etc)

All things considered, I think she fits right in with the leadership at the NAACP.

She claimed her parents whipped her with a baboon whip.
 I've never seen one but it sounds intimidating.

According to Doležal, the object her mother and stepfather used to punish them was called a baboon whip, used to ward baboons away in South Africa. These whips would leave scars behind, “they were pretty similar to what was used as whips during slavery.”
