WWE Survivor Series Lines

Looks like 5dimes is putting up more and more lines for WWE nowadays.

CM Punk -750
Cena/Ryback +450

Team Ziggler +170
Team Foley -230

Sheamus +160
Big Show -210

Eve Torres -150
Kaitlyn +110

R-Truth +450
Antonio Cesaro -750

So far the lines have gone in favor of Cena/Ryback, Foley, Big Show, Eve and R-Truth.

Cena/Ryback and Truth probably moved for value purposes only. Punk v Rock is already slated to be at the Rumble and Cesaro their big guy right now.

Can't make a decision on Ziggler/Foley. I feel this match either cements Miz's face turn or has him backstabbing Team Foley to make him a "bigger" heel. But if he's expected to turn face...I can see him winning this match.

Sheamus/Show is a toss up. If Ziggler cashes in...the winner is irrelevant but Ziggler will win the title soon and it would probably be while Sheamus has the title. But I can't read into this one.

Kapono...Shango...rest of you fellas. Where you at?

- F4Wonline.com also reports that the original plan for tonight's WWE Survivor Series three-way with CM Punk, Ryback and John Cena was that Punk retained his title. Plans could have changed but that was originally what they were going with.

Watch out for Orton heel turn though.. he wants to be a heel and WWE wants miz to be a face as he is gret with promotions and crap ala John Cena. Orton may take out his own team to turn heel and Miz face in the process.

Also think Punk wins... Eve is supposed to fued with AJ over the title in the upcoming months. Cescaro isn't going to lose to truth. 

Apparently Zigzag and Viper are supposed to fued over the Belt in the upcoming months so if there are lines to get him for the belt its worht a stab,

Forgot about Orton wanting to turn heel. But with that said...you never have situations where a heel turns to a face and a face turns to a heel to begin a fued...which is what would happen if Ziggler faced Orton. So I think Orton sticks face for the rest of this year.

The fact that Punk has had the title almost a year to the day and they keep reminding you about it makes me really think he drops the title. Looking at it simply from an old fashioned wrestling point of view, it's the only reason a triple threat match even makes much sense. Also, they've never really nailed these WWE lines before, many huge dogs have hit. Could obviously see the same thing happening here.

If you just wanted action, toss $20 bucks on every underdog. That would have been a profitable strategy on every event they've had lines for I believe.

Because of Punk's eventual meeting with the Rock, having the title on him for a significant amount of time will give the match that much more juice when it happens. 

Ryback is definitely not ready to be champion and Cena isn't back at full health. I don't even think they'd have a storyline for Cena if he won the title. Feud with Ryback? No. That's face vs. face.

Punk retains IMO.

Punk vs Rock carries itself, the title isn't relevant. Everyone knows the Rock can't be a champion based purely on logistics. Why attach the empty title match tag to something that it doesn't need the support?

All I'm hearing is that how Ryback isn't ready and how Punk will retain the title. It's the most predictable story line arc ever. The other logic I'm hearing is that Ryback can look strong against both Punk and Cena to get "established." I feel we're way past that point and that logic is laughable. 

If you really think about it, the match structure itself is the key here. It's an easy out for Punk to lose and an easy way to justify Ryback getting a completion to his push. Even if it's only a brief run prior to Punk regaining the title at some point. There have been dozens of short runs and this  would make sense.

The title is relevant because Rock is facing the champion at the Royal Rumble...which means Punk has to be champ.

And there has been talk about Rock winning the championship. The downside is the lack of title defenses but the upside is that it keeps fans even more interested.

As for the reason for the triple threat match...I feel it's so that they keep Ryback involved in the big picture and have Punk beat Cena so Ryback is the one who doesn't lose and still looks strong.

Your first and last paragraphs are sound and create a plausible scenario for Ryback to get the title. 

Maybe Maddox will interfere somehow and distract Ryback while getting sqaushed and Punk can retain.

My theory is this:

The WWE knows that streaks matter.

Look at the Taker streak at WM. As long as he can carry a match efficiently, that streak will continue.

Look at the Goldberg/Nash/Hall streak ending fiasco. That was partially responsible for the fall of WCW.

I think the WWE wants this streak to continue until WM to put juice into the Main Event and the Title and then it will change hands.

Not tonight in some disjoint storyline at what will in all likelihood be an underwhelming PPV.

And I dogs don't usually win these things. All favorites hit at Survivor Series and the only dogs that have hit in the past is were the ones that were relatively close to even. Maybe a +200 here or there.

Show won't keep the title. He's not just not good as a champ as much as he is the bully of the WWE.

They can do so much more with the Shamus storyline and the title than with Show.

Also think Rybeck will turn heel. Whether its tonight or soon in the future.

I say that because he clearly isn't ready to be champ. Everything about his in ring performance is limited. Everyone enjoys the chants, the brawn and the bravado but no real moves to speak of in the ring.

Therefore he would just as popular making life miserable for the Cena's of the world.
