"So
my friend kept borrowing from me because he supposedly owed a bookie
money and last December he said he needs more money to owe the bookie
and I told him no then he told me that he will tell the bookie where I
live and the bookie will come after me I didn't give my friend the money
its been 3 months and the bookie hasn't come after me so I'm not sure
if my friend really owed the bookie money or if he was scamming me
The
money borrowing has been happening from July 2017 to Dec 2017 its been 3
months and the bookie hasn't come after me so was my friend scamming me"
You have this out over at least one other Sports Forum Site so not sure why you need my advice when you know what must be done. Say goodbye to your "friend" and stop the silliness!!! Move on with your life and DO NOT MAKE STUPID MISTAKES AGAIN. That's what LIFE IS. It's LEARNING from stupid mistakes and NOT MAKING THEM AGAIN. I think and hope we understand each other.

Why do you believe race relations have gotten worse in this country when the % of minorities is growing at a considerable rate? It's not the People against People. It's the 1% who control the Police together with the Police that are against the People.
I was White in the 1960's and got a nightly front row seat to watch CBS News with Walter Cronkite. First we all got our daily propaganda lesson how we were winning the Vietnam War. Then we'd get to watch Black protestors get fire-hosed in the day time while their neighborhoods burned at night. Day after day after day.
Fast forward FIFTY YEARS and nothing has changed but the characters. The 1% still control the Police but now they have the Republicans pitted against the Democrats. It's the ole "Divide and Conquer" and as long as the citizens are stupid enough to fall for the lies and treachery, the people will never win. NEVER.

"Ok Goose, what would you consider to be one of the most humiliating experiences of your life?"
A very attractive woman at work named "Claudia" asked me if I would take her to the annual office party. I said "Sure", but being a couple weeks away I asked to take her out that coming weekend. She came up with the excuse that she was going away for the weekend, some family deal, so it would be best if I just picked her up that following Saturday for the office party. All along she is playing up to me, big smiles at work every day, everything is A-OK.
We get to the office party, we're having a few drinks, and everybody notices I'm with Claudia. Feel like I'm ten feet tall right? I introduced her to a friend of mine named John. She starts carrying on with John and leaves me flat out to hang dry in a corner. It was her plan all along to use me just to get an introduction to my friend John.
That was a little juvenile don't you think? High School type bullsh!t. Just goes to show you how deceitful women can be if they really choose to be azzholes. I put my tail between my legs and headed out the door.

You just told us deviants about "humiliating" experience....How about telling about your worst... "embarrassing moment"
We all have em'... I am certain of that....Only you will "spill the beans".......
Me....Too
embarrassed to tell my story...AND,...I blush easily.....How about
you?...You blush easily or not? ( add on question)...
I was at a company function and was called up on stage to accept an award. I jaunt up the side of the stage, walk briskly towards the boss, and proceed to trip on the mic cord and fall flat on my face. In front of about 200 co-workers. Yes my face turned purple. No I don't blush easily because usually I am quick to retort an insult.

1) Regarding your son - Is his medical condition your primary concern/consideration in deciding to retire and move to Belize? That must be difficult to be overseas if his condition is chronic and/or permanent. I sincerely hope everything works out for him.
2) Regarding your investments - I noticed you listed pot stocks that you own and pot stocks that you watch. So what was your selection criteria? How did those specific pot stocks end up in your investment portfolio?
3) Regarding healthcare - We may have crossed paths at some point in the political forum but I'd like to know your thoughts on a single payer type system vs market based. I'm an advocate for a single payer system. As a matter fact I don't even think we need to reinvent the wheel ... we should just expand medicare to include all citizens. The sh*t show that the insurance, pharmaceutical and all related parties have created a complete mess and is not sustainable. Your thoughts?
Not a question but maybe something to look at your leisure. I understand you have mutual funds by sector ... have you considered funds by style (Large cap vs small cap ... or growth vs value). I've always liked the Dodge and Cox funds. Actively traded funds have not faired well this last decade. Probably because the volatility inflicted by these high frequency trading firms and/or quant firms that have popped up during the last 10 years or so. What I like about the Dodge and Cox funds (value based) is that they're not managed by one particular individual ... its selection by team. So there's less a chance that one morons misjudgement can derail the entire fund. It's also value oriented so they're less likely to react to irrational volatility in the markets. Check it out for yourself. Good luck to you.

This may take some time... please let me take these one at a time.

Thank you for your kind concern. Too many people in today's society simply dismiss the disabled. When John was born in 1993 all the doctors told us "He would never be capable of functioning in a normal environment. He will never walk. He will never talk. Blah, blah, blah.
Bullsh!t. We took our son John through both communicable and physical therapy and he eventually graduated Wethersfield, CT High School in 2013 to a standing ovation. John was nicknamed "The Mayor" because he smiled and shook everybody's hand. They had a program in practice where students could give up a study hall to work with the special needs students. The quarterback, Tyler Murphy (Google him, he made the NFL) gave John his special attention and still texts us today.
John's condition is unfortunately deteriorating as he ages and is a HUGE concern right now. I will NEVER abandon John but I still want to relocate the family to Belize if at all possible.

GG - That was a moving story regarding your son. Many people have family members, friends or loved ones with physical/mental disabilities that can relate to your situation. And for the folks that can't relate, please try and find some empathy and put your shoes in GG's because one day that disabled person can be YOU.

Canopy Growth (TWMJF) is a major Canadian producer. Kush Bottles (KSHB) is a major California utensil supplier.
Both of these stocks should skyrocket when Canada goes Recreational Use in July 1st of this year as Canadian PM Trudeau promised to sign into law.

Eventually the USA will be forced to step into line with the rest of the Planet. Yes, there will be longer wait times for specialized services and, of course, increased taxes will foot the bill. It's inevitable. Just a matter of time.

"What you doing if your wifey went over to a male friends house while his girlfriend/wife went on vacation"
Nothing. When you've been married for 30 years and raised a 24 year old disabled son together the relationship seems bullet-proof. Jealousy is such a ridiculous emotion it just never comes into play. You'll probably feel the same way if you're ever lucky enough to have a life-long partner. Jealousy is not even on our radar. I routinely spend a couple nights alone at Foxwoods Casino every month because I just don't feel like traveling home.
A couple years ago she had an old boyfriend contact her through social media and wanted to take her out to dinner and catch up on life. No problem. As long as we tell each other when we're not coming home it's just not and never going to be an issue.
Good question.

Long story short... Circa 2002 I was consistently kicking azz at Mohegan Sun. Would win $300 to $500 a night (not getting greedy), ask for a Lounge Pass where Wifey and I would enjoy Shrimp Cocktail, some wine, and instead of going back to the gaming tables, just go home. They hated me.
Was playing a High Stakes $25 sit-down Slot Machine with the gigantic touch-sensitive screen. Hit the screen with my hand (very softly) and the entire screen shattered. They surrounded me with about 12 Thugs and hauled me into "the office" and told me to fork over $1200 for the damage. I remained calm and explained to the head security Thug that I understood but wanted his boss to call me first thing in the morning and everything would be cool.
Since I had about $3K in Comp Points I knew the deal. They wanted to relieve me of all my Comp Points. So I took Wifey into the Jewelry Store where we blew out the entire $3K on a Diamond Tennis Bracelet and went home.
I had beaten them to the punch and they were FUKKING PIZZED. Never got a phone call. Just a Certified Letter Banning me for Life with the promise I'd be arrested if I ever showed my face on Mohegan Sun property. Nasty people those Indians.
