Race 1 - no need to chase in this race....if this horse loses....its super bad luck or fixed 

Legit Key:  #6 dropping down> doesn't have horsepower in the last Quarter to carry 153' or 154' halfs vs Free for All horses but it will against these....if it slows it down, there is enough speed to win on slower half 

-this horse beat SINTRA and CENTURY FARROH at the end of August  ...none of these would have a chance!

-check the better horses in this race, minus Best in Show, and none of them can sustain a finish at 154 speed!!

Race 2

Legit:  #4 ....could this horse finally lose? I think at least one horse has the horsepower to do so and another could be set up to win 

Maybe: #7... races with the best 3 yr olds in the world and has won on 149'2.. aggressive driver who knows how to win out of the pocket (sitting behind leader) ....got a soft spot for this horse owner (bought our family farm when I was younger that had beautiful land, horses etc)

Longshot: #3 ...they paid $190K for it as a yearling and it hung in there in its last race but TBH, MacDonnel was looking around to see if anyone was coming and could have asked Mappos Lion to run faster and it would have!

Legit:  28 love 28 the best

Maybe:  #1 is dropping down but has trouble finishing races down the lane...stalls!

Longshot: 10 6 < beware!! Racing on 3 days rest and this is usually good for the horse to record a strong time ....its racing in higher levels at Flamboro

#5 won ...took money early so it was a setup given how the race went

#7 goes to the lead.... soft fractions....#5 followed him....#4 Mappos Lion sat 5th and then moved on the last turn

#7 drifted off the lane and let #5 go up the rail.....#4 Mappos Lion came and so did #7 for a second time but #5 got a nice lead when #7 drifted strangely off the rail and looked like it had broken equipment

It was very fishy....what makes it worse, #5 has not won in about 12 -15 races haha

Iceman....taking a break tomorrow. Its pouring hear all day and track will be super mucky. Its no fun capping that.

I am even considering taking a break for 2-3 weeks as my busy season for work is insane right now. I will look at each card by card if I see an amazing situation, I might play.

Just wanted to let you both know that although you might be in a funk, just keep up the good work. I  can't contribute, cause, I don't know what the hell I am doing, but, I love to bet the horses. Lost a lot of money over the past four years. so  I was looking around for people that might know what they are doing, and, I came across this thread. Although I jumped on this bandwagon a couple of weeks ago, and, have not won, I have faith that you will hit a few, just go with your initial leans, and gut.. I was here last Thursday when you were under the weather, and the other guy gave his initial leans, and, I was ready to hit the submit button, but, decided to check back, and, he swapped the 3 for the 1, and, of course the 3 won. I tailed, and, we lost because of that swap. It paid 5400 for 20 cents, and, I was mad for two days. I guess what I am saying is that the two of you work good together, and, go with your gut and initial leans, and, things will be good. Thanks to the both of you for your time and capping. I always look forward to this thread every Monday, and, Thursday through Saturday. Thanks for hearing me out, and, good luck.

Was out at a hockey game on Saturday so didn't even play.  Sometimes you just need a mental break

Hey, appreciate the posts of support. My issue is work and the time I can dedicate to this. This is going to be tricky, but I will play when I have the time to post ideas of my plays since I generally hit a ticket every 3-4 times and sometimes, hit 3 in a row.

Thurs - Push wind down the back stretch from the east and strong...this means all horses from any position can get to the lead with the push or can come from behind from the top of the lane....good track tonight

Going to start adding some of the compubet plays from HPbet.

They seem to be pretty accurate all things considered

Race 1 - love 36 and 8 ....Patrick Shepherd avoids Mohawk during warm weather and then he becomes hugely successful during the winter meet with claimers....McNair is his driver...I can see #1 put in a 153 tonight and that might win!

-if I had to pick 2 horses, they would be 38 since #3 gets the ideal win for this horse and it will be in the photo somehow...perfect wind for this notorious closer

Race 2 - #2 is supremely bred ...wow and Christoforou is good with push winds but #6 is a super KEY and they may just screw around so I am putting in both

Race 4 - #2 beware...nice time at Flamboro and that was only 4 days ago and horses who do this almost always race well 

Need also 4589 ....very competitive race...I know the owner of #9 Leonard Rosene....I bet with his best buddy and his horses are always trained to win their next race...I was told that ...they don't monkey around with barn talk and race strategy

Race 5 - #3 is supremely bred....from an Angus Hall homebred at the Henry farm...one of their greatest and this horse will probably go to the front after a tightener and Drury driving

3 horses...... if I am true to my capping, I don't cutback except in the second leg and thats when I would do doubles and pick3s

Would have to spend > $160 and I do that sometimes so its probably best in the second leg as Iceman said, pick one horse and key it ........I went contrarian and cut back

....just for fun, I played a hunch ticket 3 horses/ 1 horse (#2) / 4 horses not including two lowest morning lines / 4 horses not including morning lines / 3 horses .....cost is $38 and change.

When I have more time tomorrow or Saturday, I will post strategy

 You stick around, you will make money. Just avoid too many favourites on our Pick5 plays at Mohawk unless its a favourite key of 1 horse that I am fairly certain.

Just scroll back about 6-10 pages and we were hitting $700 - 2000 tickets with this approach....some nights faves hit and we cash only $60 -100 and lose money. The thing not to do is hope for good payouts when you cut out mid-longshots that are live and I highlight....if anything like I did tonight, cut the lowest or 2 lowest morning lines in 1-2 races if you want to cut back.

Cheers and good luck....be selective when you play. Like you, I lost money in the game in various stages of my life because I followed success with thinking I had to play every card and catch every thrill and thats chasing....not fun when you are not hitting.
