I agree....#4 stands out in race 5......and I like a little #10.....but the class is #9 as this horse was so so so impressive a while ago climbing the ranks and now drops into an easy class

I like your ticket you more or less have the same as me, I bundled them together in one instead of splitting them up.

Its weird...but you can see now for months....1 race is an ALL in and today it was the 3rd race...you had the right idea taking a lot of horses.

Some advice, start taking keys in one race and doing that....your chance of high payouts increase and you end up spending less!

It's always one race that blows up my ticket.  What can you do? Yes I try to key in on on race but my alot of my tickets have been blown up when the one key horse loses.  Out of all the races, the 3rd was the one I was least worried about I had my bases covered as far as I saw.

#2 pays $103.60

#4 pays $419.20 

Not bad for a $16 investment

#2 couldn't hold on down the stretch.  Should have won based on the last 1/4 mile fractions.  Super slow.  I really think I'm gonna pass when there is snow

One thing about failure is you learn. I capped the late pick 5, the 20 cent would have cost $192 to get all the horses in play.  I didn't want to lay that much coin.   But had I actually bet it, would have just hit the P5 for over $3k

 covering every base (2-3 horses of low odds for instance) do not hit with enough consistency and payout to cover investment. What does work, when the drivers are creating situations for longshots to come in.....is taking a risk on one horse when there are 3 options and then taking more horses in a race when it appears one stands out more than others....that pattern has appeared from them a lot

OR.....KEY an obvious in race 1-2....take a bunch / take a bunch/ take a bunch / key 1-2 horses in the last leg and you can always back up your horses if the payouts are damn good

 I sometimes make those large tickets when I get a roll going ....tried one a few weeks ago after I hit $517 and then another small one for $155 the next day....I actually start to hunt for those big one chances

significant NW cold wind tonight of about 12-15 mph and this means horses who can leave might get a little assistance on the turn but on the last turn, horses chasing the top 2-3 horses will have trouble coming first over into a stiff cold wind

I am looking for horses who move off the gate OR flow in the back half to get position....closers will have trouble unless they go too fast and generally horses don't on a cold night

McNair should do well in tonight's wind....Sylvain/Luc Roy....JMAC is good in any situation

Even though I hit the pick 5 it only paid $25.98 so I still lose
