Thursday night: Rain and windy storm could affect races

Race 1 > 26 ....although I believe I will KEY #2 after the post parade

Race 2 > tough race...careful with McDonnels $250K yearling purchase. I have seen him shave 3 seconds off his young horses when its time to get a win...he likes schooling them

TAKE > 12357 

Race 3 > 16 ...would KEY #6 with that massive driver change but #1 has raced the best and is a BAX horse with a good driver

MAYBE > #5 middle of gate and if sloppy, it suits JMAC's style of sitting back 2nd over style and using the middle of track where its not as sloppy to come flying

UPSET ALERT > #3 is 2nd time trained by MOREAU and now gets a good driver

Race 4 > 359 stand out.... #5 could go to the front and not look back so taking a speed horse is wise here with 2 strong closers who might hit traffic and blocking tactics

#4 is a maybe.....these type of horses have been hitting lately!

Race 5 > need 1347 ....no KEY....and yes, #1 despite the driver as this horse looks beautiful on the track and good get a private buy offer any week and the owner  would go for it and win....he likes collecting checks

so #7 got nosed out by #6 in Race 3....I missed seeing this horse...shit

I was right about PMAC sending #7 though and you gotta watch out for stuff like that and the fact that #6 was a 40K yearling and looked good on the track. I thought about putting $10 to win but didn't because the 7 looked so good and I had 4 other horses haha....but nope

#6 screwed me in race 2.

Monday Mohawk: - potential for thunderstorms to affect early part of card ---tornado warnings in some areas but not likely around Mohawk track

WIND > big factor as its SW so horses will get push if they make a move at the half to take the lead into the last turn 

25 -30 km SW wind 

FIRST OVER Drivers like this wind, good for 2nd over sometimes as well > JMAC is the best.....Travis Cullen likes that move and so does McNair if he does not get the lead

Fields look light-ish > R1 - 8 horses , R2 - 7 , R3 - 9, R4 - 9 and finish with an 11 horse field in Race #5

Will aim to have this capped by 6 - 6:20 pm > racing starts around 7:10 pm.........if you pop in and its DoubleUp or GeneralWizdom, let me know when you arrived and I will put up an NFL pool with lots of participants into a post but would prefer you copy it quickly and save it somehow since its 'his' pool and he probably wants anonymity....I can invite up to 3-5 people but have to vouch for them if they don't pay up haha so I am selective who I offer to

You arrange to pay directly to Kirk Ohrt who is an accountant and the convenor (lives just North of Toronto, Ontario)....good guy/pays fast on weekly within a few days

Update on weather: Winds are gonna be even STRONGER from the SW at 35-40 kmh

Weather has changed only slightly....capping now >> same high wind from SW but could see T-storm by races 5-10

Race 1 - Feel like KEYING #7 > the horse has race with so much tougher and Cullen knows how to press this horse's buttons at the right time, especially when the horse is dropping down!

#7-#8 will both leave from the outside and there is not much speed in this race early 

#1's only shot to win is to just hold position and come up the rail....the one time this horse ever tried to move, it had nothing down the lane....so braving up behind a wall might be its best way to win

-#2 intrigues me and could fall into it if there is a speed battle.....#5 had its shot already twice with fast closing times to win....this is stiff wind to do this in 

My ADVICE: KEY #7 or take #1,2,78 and maybe #5 if the horse looks good....I will be FLAT betting #6 ($300K yearling with only a 153 best time > WTF? ...and the horse is coming around on B-tracks)

Race 2 - To me, this sets up as a 2 horse race but do not feel comfortable with only 2 horses so I am playing 2 tickets

BEST: #6 - JMAC is the king of trot drivers, especially when they are improving or in form and you want someone like him driving with all the crazy tactics we might see in this 7 horse race >> this horse could be a KEY ...driver and middle gate, as well as fast closing time in the SLOP!

-#2 Roger Mayo's $160K horse as a yearling HAS BEATEN #6 already so I expect Roger to stick close to JMAC's horse

THE REST: - Every other horse has a shot except for #4 and beware #1 and #7 as both can win anytime they choose ....look at the bottom line on #1 

-#5 blasted out of the gate 2 races ago and was forced wide and broke....its a tough horse and have been on this one for a while because it tries its ass off down the backstretch! The horse will leave for Top 4 position and come first or 2nd over I predict

-I am not impressed with #3, however, you cannot beat Luc Roy as a driver on a trotter as the 2nd best driver in this race....the horse did well against a strong field once but did not win....don't think it has the heart to be JMAC's horse but lately, horses that I doubt are coming through and cancelling my tickets so who knows right?

Race 3 -  Moreau is smart !!....gave #9 fourteen days off after a lot of wins on the engine from the outside and now brings the horse back into the class with a driver who knows exactly how to press this horse's buttons like no other driver has had this horse going!

#9 is a KEY on one ticket but I also like upsets of #7 >> take a hard look dropping into claimers first time and see how fast the horse was doing at Georgian with dummy hands drivers....now shave 1-2 seconds off!

#6 is a classy blazer of a horse so figures here but might need a race to beat #9 ....CENTURY GIGALO also figures #5 with JMAC but lets face, a 1564 first half is not gonna happen in this race!

Race 4 - 256 figure, that's it! ....I do not like #9 off the break and this horse does not like race hard to the front so I think the horse is a miracle to win from out there....its a nice horse but there is something wrong with horse I think

Race 5 - only 2 horses, maybe a 3rd, have a shot at beating #8 so I might just do on one ticket

-#8 is so lightly raced and fit....can win any style that I don't think the horse will lose if it gets to the front by the half

Potential beaters > #2 and #6 with a trip + JMAC driving this horse!

Longshot/Maybe > #1 and #9 but neither has won on the big track this year
