Are we shorting TSLA at $600 or what?
Part of me thinks that’s a squid bet.
Sold short term puts on HD and MGM for nice little profit.
Bought put on Morgan Stanley
Now in puts MGM, MS, Hilton that expire 10/16
Almost bought a call on GLD this morning but didn’t and now it’s running away.

PENN looks ripe for a short. Casinos and tracks could be down through the summer.
Their only hope is that Trump is in that arena and might try to throw a bone to his buddies somehow.
Not looking good for them imo.
Thoughts?

Why go after (investment) banking, particularly MS ? These guys would seem to thrive in a trading environment that we currently find ourselves in.

+$1800
At some point do I sell this thing and deal with whatever restrictions they put on me?
+$3000 and I’m selling this thing no matter the penalty?

The problem I see with your investment ideology in abandoning the markets, moving into BTC, and shorting stocks is that you are betting against the power of the FED. They say "don't fight the fed" for good reason.
When you buy puts with short expiration dates you are basically attempt to "time" daily and weekly movement in asset prices. Further, you are attempting to do this during a period where determining the true value of assets is impossible due to the high beta in the E component.
You are basically gambling. I am ready for sports to come back so I can get back to gambling.

I would either get the 25k in there or stop trading...you are handcuffed and it will/has cost you profits because of the restriction. I would not attempt to trade without the ability to buy and sell when I wanted.

i agree but with a caveat. There is a huge drawback to that to me. There would then be too much money in there for someone that is starting out doing this type of trading. The temptation might be there to let it get out of hand.
I would just study more, have a plan and stay within their guidelines of 3 per 5 days. Or plan to set them up on a buy-today sell-tomorrow type plan.
I am not a fan of the buy ‘just because’ philosophy. When it is small money, it is just gambling — so not that big a deal. But when you do that with a larger amount of money — it will get out of hand very quickly. I have seen it many times, as I am sure you have.
