Damn Vermeer, I haven't looked at this board in months, and I come back today to see this news.........I'm very sorry, my thoughts and prayers are with you tonight bro.
 
I was coming back to talk stocks and shit, but it now kinda seems silly.

No doubt, Friday was so full of lies and market manipulation.....at least more than usual, and usual is "a lot."
 
Someone lied about FNM and FRE getting to use the discount window.
Someone lied about LEH from the day trading started.
IMB was lied about all day.
Israel and Iran were another pack of lies when someone from the "Pentagon," a bastion of truth, said Israel was NOT practicing strike maneauvers in Iraq........bull-sheet.
 
Had the lies not been told, then Friday could have been the flushout day, which is what we need.
 
But there was too much money to be made by making up stories.
 
Guys----There are many in here who have more experience than I, but I have been gambling on the stock market for over 20 years, and from my limited experience, this is the worst economic backdrop I have ever seen, and this is the roughest tape (long or short) that I have ever seen.
 
In fact, this tape is so brutal, and some are so flustered with all the lies, that on the day we finally do get a flushdown with peeps jumping out of windows, the bargain hunting buying which always follows will be very watered down.
 
It is treacherous to hold any position (long or short) overnight, let alone over a weekend.  The only way to deal with this stuff right now is to preserve and protect capital as best you can, and if you do enter in to a position, hedge it, use stops, and get your ass out with money before you get greedy.
 
This world is getting ripped a new one.

Well, Jason, let's face it, there's just nothing to like as far as the global economy goes.
 
I am hoping that we can all get so pessimistic and angry and rageful about the current iceholes holding political office that we vote out every single incumbent, no questions asked, with a scorched earth policy.
 
I have f--ing had it with this gd country, but it is more sadness than anger.  The lies that are being told about FRE and FNM were the final straw that broke the camel's back, cause I 100% am certain that the rumors and lies told yesterday were an inside job being done by our elected officials so they could profit off those who aren't in positions to lie.......and be heard.
 
So in a viciously bad economy, we are being led by crooks who are as morally repugnant as one could imagine.
 
Not a pretty picture, but with pessimism like this, am hoping it jinxes things the other way.
 
But unless you are crazy, stupid, or on some really good drugs, there is nothing to like about the world's economic future, and that applies to those who do have inside info and do profit from it.

What do you think the chances of are of a washout black Monday within 48 hours where panic runs amok and prices are on the cheap?
 
By washout, I don't mean some bs 200 point loss on the Dow, but I am talking 1000ish at some point during the day where you really do start to hear reports of peeps jumping out of windows.
 
Hate to say it, but that's what we need.  Let's just take the beatdown and get it the f--k over with so we can move on.

Nope barring some Iran disaster this weekend.

IMB isnt like saying Citi is going under. They took a stock that had already been kicked down and used it for an example.

If Freddie or Fannie went under then it would be 1k down day on the market.

I have to think they move it UP on monday..what do you think?

"They" being the manipulators----the crime syndicates---will do the opposite of the open.
 
A positive open with peeps trying to be optimistic and positive----"they" will sell the crap out of it.
 
A negative open with peeps being pessimistic and negative----"they" will force shorts to cover.
 
I hope I can process that during live rounds on Monday and see if I can humbly take a few pennies via SPY from Mr Market before my sorry Peter Rabbit ass gets run out of the garden by the fat ass with the gun and his mangy mutt hound dog.

   Guys,

   Thanks for the kind words.I managed to finally get some sort of sleep. Time moves in weird ways.The funeral was Thursday but I would have no idea what day it is unless I look at a paper or calendar.

  But thanks for the words, and I know I will have a less traumatized week, but hope we all do in the markets.

  I just glanced at SKF.Amazing, and likely to be more so in the coming weeks.

 But they are the problem, not the solution.Their books are cooked, as are all the federal books.

  Listen to whomever you choose. 60 years of financial flim flam is about about to come to a resolution.Act accordingly.
I am not a hysteric by nature (actually pretty cold blooded) and yes I have been under huge stress since July 4. But...I have stated this in the past here I think. Take it for whatever you think it is worth...and good luck out there.

wall - just means the fomc is now a printing press..nothing more or less. they need to raise rates tomorrow or the next day...the dollar will get killed

also means that this is it...fannie and freddie were the only TBTF banks out there...no more money lehman, citi, merrilll. get your house in order

wonder what the mkt does monday morning at the open...

Just saw the headline on the AP.
 
All I can say is thank God I'm not short going in to tomorrow's open (cause I got cash available now that won't be initially vaporized).  Going to be a sea of green that will get sold down HARD.
 
Going to go short SPY some time after the open.
 
Yeah, we are so doomed for the long run.  Gold will soar tomorrow off its open, and stocks will sell off their open.
 
The USA deserves to fail.  Hate to say it, but it's so true.

I've been a bad boy this year, so instead of putting coal in my stocking (which is actually useful), could you please just put a few "US Dollars" in it instead?

Am I the only one who isn't too concerned about what is going on now? 

I guess if I was over 50 and had a huge chunk of change in the market I would be . . . but I'm not.  sucks for my parents and other peoples my age parents.  But i'm still under 30 and just now starting to hit my earnings peak, which should only continue to go up from here (I hope).  If the market sinks to less than 10,000 that just means more cheap shares for me.  If the market stays at say 9,000 for 3 years I can accumulate even more cheap shares.  5 years so be it.  What is so bad about that?  Eventually we'll go back up . . . . may  take a while but we will.  Everyone thought the world was going to end after the tech bubble.  We rebounded.  Companies just need to get their houses in order.  I don't like seeing my 401k and other portfolios ripped to shreads now but that is life.  I am a firm believer we will go past historical levels down the road. 

Unfortunately I missed the run up that started in 2003.  well I hit on some stocks but didn't have much in the market to make an  impact.  I won't miss the next run up.  If i need to wait until 2012 so be it.  I will continue to dollar cost average and accumulate as much as possible.  each day it goes down just more and more cheap shares for me.

This ain't going to be easy to pull off today.  Looks like there is going to be a ton of short covering today........probably all day.

But eventually, "the market" will realize the mess that the US gov't. has made and go back to being bearish........just may take a while.

This trading crap changes from one second to the next.
 
Now if Israel starts running its mouth, SP 500 would immediately sell off, until some icehole from "The Pentagon" tells a lie.
 
So easy to manipulate these markets if you have a voice that is heard.  Crime at its finest and highest.

AAPL could be a good contrarian short today amidst all this 'IPhone" hoopla.
 
There could be some big time shareholders who use this crap as an opportunity to dump today.

AAPL looks very, very dumpable today.  Not "too much" short interest for the manipulators to terrorize.
 
Short term resistance at mid 180s..........can't break it on volume, then time to sell this crap short.

Shhhhh......long way to go.  Did put down a stop on the AAPL short...........185.25.
 
In this environment, anything can and will happen.
 
"For now," am sort of shocked that the manipulators haven't come harder at the shorts.  They could've run this market up 5-600 points on the Dow today had they wanted to.  They still could.  Guess they want more public peeps to get on board the short train before they crash it.

In fact, cause everyone is negative by now, I predict the crime syndicates touch off a short covering nuclear bomb, the the Dow closes up at least 200 points today.
