 Hmmm That is what I thought.Maybe Mcclendon should have read Roubini and spared himself that expensive margin call.

 A little bit of realism is good to read in exceptionally fatuous tiimes...

I think I remember reading that McClendon did the same thing a few years ago at his last company.  Bought a ton of shares on margin, then wound up getting crushed by a margin call.  Some folks will never learn

You must be a psychic, to be able to know when to jump in right as those stocks are coming off of their lows.  I agree with that people should be buying into the market, but not all of us have your kind of ability.  What else did you buy yesterday?

I'm not in any of these, I just wonder why anyone would sell these at these levels

the market is up 100+ pts but i dont see much of anything being up today.

Im really gettting sick of this whole market it's not making sense to me anymore and thats not a good sign.

This market gives very little hope of anything..sell sell sell all day and every day..lower lows and lower highs, hedgies smashing good stocks, no buyers..its dismal for sure.

Could get ugly in the last hour today.  If its anything like the last few days we could be setting new lows

Its a hated stock..who the hell knows where she goes.

 It really is hated by certain analysts.I read one that basically viewed the company as a shell game, and which essentially maintained that none of their numbers could be trusted at all.
 It has been completely destroyed and it is hard for me to see it recovering at all.

Conjuring up a possible doomsday scenario, the company said: "If we are not able to comply with our loan covenants and our lenders chose to accelerate our indebtedness and foreclose their liens, we could be required to sell vessels in our fleet and our ability to continue to conduct our business would be impaired."

That is pretty standard disclosure information given, you can find it for most any company that has debt..basically saying if the business goes down the tubes that banks could foreclose.

I didnt read much into it, but people who want to read into it found reason to bash the stock.

Look back 3 months, look to current price, who knows where shipping prices go in a week, a month, in three months.

The ponzi scheme rap is a joke, the company has billions in assets..George leverages for growth but a ponzi scheme terminology is bush league at best.

 I  may be able to find that article but what struck me was the serious personal loathing for the guy, and the deep suspicion of his conflicting interests outlined in many ways.It was a royal ass reaming...
 I hope you are right.It is down 88% on the year. I think people smell blood int he water and whatever the cause, they do not like him one bit.

And this type of comment is not uncommon...

Is George trying to bust this one and keep Primelead all to himself?
