Yeah im not likng this trade but no reason to bail or anything...i thought when it was in the 20s today it was going for the gap but it stalled...even if this pushes hard next week i think we would see a correction around 108...but like Wall said this will prob just be a blip and we resume this trend for now...

Did you guys listen to Andrews show?He got an 8 bagger off GS

Guys i think its time to back up the truck for $/JPY longs...i see a low of 9138 if it didnt put in a bottom today...set target for 9478 for half just to lock in profit then put a stop on the remaining lots at +30 or something and let it ride

I listened to that interview last night, it was really a gold infomercial..it talked about how gold could go to this price if this and that and the other happens.

It is obvious that author is a gold bug, not sure I agree with his analysis or assumptions.

He is long gold for sure i think thatsit would be wise to buy gold and or silver though..i cant see how the demand for gold doesnt go up in the future and if theres really less of it out there compared to what has been sold some est more than 100:1 paper gold vs physical,we could see 2000 per oz price easy..

Hey Wall have you added any indicators to your platform?If so which ones?

I found a page with close to 1000 indicators...i plan on adding an ATR indie ADX cross indie Bulls and Bears indie and the auto pivots...so many to choose from..

There are so many you are right, I havent done enough DD to find one that I think performs a function that I havent found otherwise.

It seems that most indicators are a function of previous trading, relative performance versus moving averages etc etc..we probably should try to find a few which might be lesser used but could give us an edge.

On that site that you had a link on for the moving averages, I trolled around and found a few indicators that I REALLY liked, but then I couldnt find them on my MT4 platform-

If you just do a search for MT4 indicators you might be able to fund them...i found several lists but the one i posted had the most..

Well I made in the ballpark of 1k pips..slightly more.



I had 7 lots at 142.07 average.

buck u still in usd/chf ? Im thinking of averaging right now 106.56 is the gap fill from last week and 106.64 is the 40 day on the daily charts.  think i should wait ?

Newbie here.

On the 4 hr, buying opp on EUR/JPY trying to buy as it comes to me @ 123.54, hoping to exit in the 127 range.

What is the best way to place my order, protect it, and insure i sell at or near target?

Sorry fellas i was out just got home...

Pap im still and im not touching it until im down 100 pips or i see some kinda give on the charts...she moved above all MAs on the 4hr so i think we should wait for it to at least come down and try to break down through...100@200 are in the 10620s

 

CDK you can put a limit on your order that will cash you out at a given profit...and you can set a stop to ensure you dont lose more then youd like

So much for risk off, that lasted all of one USM session.

Citi has trading revenue earnings and off they run. Of course they are going to have great trading earnings since they were able to borrow money for free and purchase higher yielding bonds, netting a huge gain with the leverage they use.

The tough thing with indicators is they can be wrong easily..like how we connected the lows on the AU.US and it initially bounced off the line, well it smashed through the line when the market overrode the technicals.

So in a trendless market using support and resistance in the short term indicators is ok, but I think we have to follow trend more than anything else...risk on, risk off..that is how we make money.

Thanks for info Buck. Made 65.9 pips going long EUR/JPY in practice account.

Volatility seems limited in many charts. Does it seem that way to you?

CDK it has been slow but theres been good trades out there today...id rather see good tech trades working out than have volatile movement...

Wall setting up a chart the way i did in those two links id trade closes above/below MAs and same with the fibs...i averaged in CHF right off that 23.6% fib line at 10683...i watched it test the line several times...the chart i posted is an hr chart and you can see it tried to break through with 5 different candles but failed and finally got sent back towards support

i wish i had averaged on that usd/chf trade. it's still not far from my entry tho so once it breaks it will be $$$
