riding high... might get sticky from 7.20 to 7.50 .. big moves have to retrace at some point.. but not a reason to panic or sell..

Did that downgrade mean anything.. ???? Yes it meant the big boys were buying when the retail people that know nothing were selling their shares to them..

Yep. When it got in 3s and they were still downgrading I knew who was buying.  Its ridiculous.  This stuff works.  The best is yet to come with Technosphere applications.  Afrezza was test run

131 million shares are shorted as of yesterday report, may even be more now. That is over 50% of the float.

This is ridiculous.  Who the hell owns those shares?  I hope Al is somehow behind manipulating these shorts so they continue and then he wipes them the f out w/ big news

Someone will eventually give you a better and more in-depth answer than this but it's essentially betting against the stock.

Can you help me out louis....what does the whole short thing mean? Completely new to the market...

I used to explain shorting to my clients like this..

Shorting is selling something you dont have expecting a down move in that investment..and at a future time you close the position by purchasing it.

Shorting is digging a hole, buying the short back to cover the short position is filling in the hole for a net zero position.

So if I think NFLX is going down and BABA is going to take their market share, I can sell NFLX that I do not own, that is called "going short"...then if the stock drops and I am happy with my position gain I can "buy to cover" and close the short position.

Not many people can short in the market, you need approval from your broker to do so..it is a complex and advanced strategy..it requires a certain ammt of account assets and usually they ask you some questions and see if you know what you are doing.

Also...short requirements and stocks able to be shorted is complicated. Short requirements means how much equity you need to take that position and it varies depending on the stock. A crazy small stock say like MNKD is probably NOT shortable for a retail client and if it was the level of equity required for the position would be high.

The barriers of entry to short, the stocks able to be shorted, the requirements to short, all make it very tough for a little player to short.

Its often better to find a put option if you want to short, but that put option needs to be smartly placed, and that is a discussion for a different time...

@wallstreetcappers explained short well.  Shares to short are usually limited and usually require a high commission to hold from broker. MNKD has one of the highest short floats of any stock, something to keep in mind, so many folks (or some very large short position holders) are currently betting the stock will fall versus rise.

    stock @5.96.

Were getting close to Sanofi's DTC Marketing.  Prepare for bigger numbers of users in next few months of Afrezza,  Social Media continues to be a huge + for Afrezza as the results of the user community have been better then anything else out there.  Remember Afrezza is much more then just the inhaled aspect, it mimics the pancreas much more then anything.  Fast actin

OK so I have done major research on this stock and now I am kicking myself for not getting in at $3.50 as I am a little worried about buying at at $5.32.

There were 130 million short stocks.  This means that in the short term people have been betting against the stock and have been making a lot of money doing so.  Because there are so many shorts, they in essence can control the price of the stock unless something amazing happens to the stock itself.  The reason why the stock went down so low is that it was manipulated down so that 10 million short stocks could be sold.  That drove the price up to $7 + and that was a test by the shorts to get out of the stock by almost 10% of their shares.  The next time they try that , it should break $10.  The problem is, it could keep going down before that happens.  If you are a long holder like Louis, you have to deal with these ups and downs while the shorts make money.  Now the shorts are probably all hedged with calls so that if the stock goes up, they are hopefully protected in their minds from not losing much.

Here is another problem, mankind made a deal with Sanofi .  Sanofi has not delivered.  They were supposed to market this product and have done a crap job at it. Why ? Because Sanofi owns a lot of diabetic drugs already and could have alterior motives.

Two things are happening here.  Either Sanofi and Mankind are just going at a slow place or Sanofi is sabotaging Mankind and trying to bankrupt them by not doing the proper job.  Sanofi might be trying to buyout Mankind and then launch the product properly and make multi billions because guess what people, this is the best insulin product available on the planet today period.  I have read so many accounts, it works.  Doctors are not prescribing it yet because insurance companies are not on board yet but in the end, the doctors can control the outcome of this stock. If they start to prescribe it, there is nothing nobody can do to stop this stock from climbing.

If we get a combo of doctors and sanofi both on board, this stock will make people millionaires like Louis.

The shorts wont be able to stop what will happen even though they are corrupt and control the stockmarket in essence if this takes place.

This drug Afrezza is revolutionary. The founder Al Mann is an incredible person and just doesn't fail in all his past inventions.  He is 90 years old and has a lot of influence but if he dies before this stock takes off, that could be another problem in my opinion.

So we have the corrupt world and all the negative (paid off) journalists and guys like CRAMER bashing the stock when either they are just buying in to drive it down and make money or the drug companies that have all the other diabetic drugs are corrupting them with cash to destroy the company mankind.

Mankind has a bad management team in my opinion as well.  Another negative point.

I am either going to buy 10000 shares on Monday and go all in for me or just hold off. This stock could take 2 years to go up but if everything goes right, it will hit $20-$50 and possibly $100 5-10 years from now.

The choice is yours, do your research and you will be shocked at all the info you get.  This drug can save lives and it still isn't even known to most diabetics because there is no marketing of it yet.  All Sanofi did so far is put it in a magazine ???  They are apparently supposed to start a marketing campaign but there are also rumours that they have set up 800 dinner conferences with doctors.  Could it be regarding Afrezza or not ? Nobody knows.

    Good luck to you all.
