Sheeet, I knew people who blew through 2700 in 5 min let alone 25 days while still having to support themselves with room and board. You better stick to the cheap ables son.

Sounds like a completely different situation. I should only be betting $2700 every 5 mins when I have a $500,000.00 BR. Even then I could only really responsibly play for 20 mins!

I did great. Was in Vegas for mid-July. I can't say what Poker tournament I won without Self ID'ing myself, but lets just say I cashed somewhere between 10 and 20 Grand in that tournament.

one of the most ludicrous threads on here and thats saying something
here's my tip, buy a round the world plane ticket with that $2700, see what the world has to offer, it'll give you better memories than grinding in a smoky, dingy poker room and you'll learn a helluva lot more.

look, here's how it is..................you could spend all your first month just grinding it out if your making $100 bets, unless you're going on a real hot streak right off the bat, your expenses will eventually catch up with you and then back to where you came from..............so here's the reality of a 2700 roll. Take your first week and be picky, maybe 3-4 bets BUT U HAVE TO GO BIG...........300-500 per bet. if you start out cold then that's what u would have been doing anyway by going small and still losing but with expenses eating u up over time. ur never going to make big $ gambling unless you stick your neck out once in a while. so that's ur strategy for winning $$$ and staying in vegas for a while. if you start off cold while playing big them you will still have enough money to get back home and on your feet before the expenses eat you up. take it from someone who knows and has learned this from experience. last year i started with 6k and in 1 1/2 months later had 24k. with your roll plus expenses you can only stay and play by winning big based on betting big. most gamblers never win because they never go "counter-intuitive".

by "counter-intuitive", in this case means going big on your wagers right off the bat
whereas the "sane" seemingly logical thing to do was to start small and HOPE you get hot over a long extended period of time
in the context of the amount of the roll, the inevitable expenses that start piling up.............where the "safe" advice was to play small becoz your roll is relatively small.............the reality is that considering all that your only chance of succeeding is to go big right off the bat, cover your upcoming expenses and then still have $$$ to play.........but this all depends on winning the big ones as well..............but were you planning to go there and start small and lose?...................you have to separate your betting strategy vs your money management............again considering everything, be selective the first week, go big (and pray) and then you'll see where you stand vs your roll, your expenses, and what you have left if you lose and have to head home

vegas wants you to play scared, they want to nickel and dime you until the experience of losing and the expenses you have "donated" to them has you headed home
