Go for the weekend, keep 500 aside for food and drinks and bet the remaining 2200 on a single bet 3 times in a row. Assuming you average odds are 1.7(I believe that would be a -130ML) you'll get a return of almost 11k. (make sure you break up your bets to avoid the taxes)
If your lucky enough to win all 3 times you have a 10k bankroll. Postpone going home for a few more days and look for one play where you can bet 7k on(again bet smaller tickets to avoid the taxes). Pick a safer play where if you win you make a profit of 3-4k.
Assuming you hit that one you now have enough money for lodging and food for a few months. PLUS a 10k bankroll to get you started. ALL for picking 4 games.
If you lose once, at least you tried and you have a great Vegas story!!!!

I haven't read all the posts but familiar with this type of attempt. $100K minimum. It's a business and you need to treat it that way. Why do 90% of small businesses fail? Cash flow problems very earl on.
If you haven't already attempted, do the math and figure out how much money you need to survive medium/long term. Then double that amount, find a way to start saving and if you make an attempt gamble and get a job. You can find jobs in Vegas that will still allow you plenty of time to place bets.
I know the dream is to not do the 8-5 grind and live the "great life" of gambling for a living. Try it for a month and see how much more stress it is than working. If you think it is a vacation like going to Vegas for the weekend you are in for a shock in a short time.
To make any money you need to be the best of the best. Not like handicappers on Covers that make money by fooling people they know what they are doing. Like the people you aren't going to see on this site. The top .1% of people who sports gamble and/or play poker.
The math is against you. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen and it doesn't mean you won't learn a lot from the attempt if it fails, but the math is against you.
Good luck!!!

Whatever system you follow its up to you..Make sure u get 55% out of it..atleast 52 or 53.5% out of 100 % with your total stakes.. Then you are good to go with it

What kind of advice is that? This guy has a bankroll of 2.7K. If he were to confine himself to only 40 plays a month (which would be impossible for the average player with an itchy trigger finger unleashed in Vegas with a billion opportunities) and he bet $200 + vig a game (a recipe for disaster because he would be risking 17.3 percent of his bankroll on each wager and would be crushed by the first steak of bad luck or poor handicapping he encountered), at your 55% win rate he would be a winner in 22 of the 40 monthly plays and would bottom line be up only $430 a month. Not in real life!

Anyway, both houses had the game at 4 1/2, but somehow we got screwed up and ended up with 2000 over instead of 900. Now this guy could be a bit of a prick, and he insisted that we should split the overage, although logically it should have been proportioned out. Well, I got aggravated trying to argue with him, and I must have been feeling the game a bit and I said, screw it I'll take the whole two dimes.
I tabbed that bet as my "suitcase bet," if it went down I was packing my suitcase. But, the suitcase stayed in the closet, as the Blazers took the lead in the third quarter, and never looked back.
