Hey, I'll be there Thursday to Monday and I'm trying to pick a spot to watch the SB. I've been there for March Madness opening weekend and can understand how packed the books get. My goal is to get a seat at Ceasars, or Mirage, or Hilton wherever really. Anybody have any good tips or thoughts on this? There will be 2 of us....and I'm willing to sit there all day and drink and bet horse races if I have to. What time should we get in position?

i will be there too; staying at mandalay. ive been trying to figure out where to watch the game as well because was at mandalay a few months ago and drinks dont come cheap over there.

the hilton's sports book has got a good reputation. and drinks dont come cheap at to many places on the strip. what you do is sit at the horse betting tv's in sport's book. bet minimum 2 dollar bets on horse races and free drinks come.

will be there myself (staying at MGM this time), last time I was out for the Super Bowl was 2004 and it was the first year the NFL cracked down on Vegas........the game was not allowed to be play in the sportsbooks and not on a screen larger than 50" in a public place......I was staying at the Palms that trip and we had to get vip tickets to a hall wherein they had about 500 50" flatscreens set up...........
most importantly, I don't believe this has changed
I will confirm this with my host (who has already given me two tickets to a SB party at MGM), but guys I believe you will need to find other options other than the books

i know during monday night football games some casinos, the cannery is one i know for sure, but is located off the strip, they show the games in one of the theatres. they even had the national championship in one of the theates in 3d. pretty impressive. not sure what they are doing for the superbowl yet.

apparently NFL backed off on the books but now have restrictions on not allowing the hotels to charge for admission (thus only comped vip admissions to parties)...but the books themselves do show the game

if you have a host, all you have to do is ask, if you don't have one, ask for one and then ask for tickets......its worth a shot,.... remember economy is killing vegas too
