Tangerine closed down and now the club is called "Christian Audigier's"so and so. I don't follow fashion, but he's some kind of designer. Anyway, I hear the place is beyond lame. Besides, it's run by the douchebag PURE group (which is under investigation by the IRS).

If TI played it smart, they'd create a nightclub that appeals to those who aren't pretentious, top-40 music-loving, vacuous douche nozzles. But for some reason, they want to attract the same shitheads who go to Jet, LAX, The Bank, et cetera.

Some comments from a visitor who just got back...
 
Ditch Fridays is a must go to..eating at the mexican restaraunt overlooking the pool is a must after as well, its outstanding.  Bare is worth going to as well at the Mirage on Saturday or Sunday.
 
Never went to Tryst but went to Jet, Tao and Body English.  Tao is the in club there right now and was packed with asians, i thought i was in china but the club is unbelievable.
 
Carnaval Court blows, people were trashy, drinks were not inexpensive.
 
Predrink in your sportsbook and get lit on free drinks and watch some bets then go out.
 
If you dont have a girl to go back to your room after the bar go to Drais at Bills on the strip.

I was there twice late in '07 and had a nice time.
 
I do feel like I missed out on a lot though.
 
Many places you mentioned I have no heard of. Plus I did not really venture off the strip...well thats a lie...friend of mine goes to UNLV so we did drive on the back roads towards the Hilton, but thats about it.
 
next time I head out, no idea when, Ill be sure to re read this again

"Go to the sportsbook and grab a Sheet for that nights baseball action. Throw in a $5 ,4 teamer for shits and giggles and be sure to ask for a drink ticket. Now go get an ice cold carona with that ticket and grab you buddys"

Does every sportsbook have a "Sheet" of that night's games? and about the carona, how does that work? can we get a ticket everytime we place a bet?

The sportbooks out here do have sheets for the days games, as well as sheets for futures such as NBA championship, Superbowl, Stanley Cup and so on. These sheets don't always have all of the bets they offer, so it is always a good idea to check the board for current lines and bets. As for free drinks, it varies by casino. Caesars for example require you to bet $200 (or is it $300, I don't remember) in order to get a drink ticket. Some books don't have a minimum. Just ask when you get there to be sure. A way  to get a drink for free when you sit at the bar is to put a large bill ($20, $50 or $100) into the video poker machine at the bar. Wait for the bartender to come over and cycle through the games like you are going to play one. The bartender will usually comp your drink, but he may say you have to be playing. If thats the case, play max credits once or twice for the drink and then cash out. It will still be cheaper than paying $8-$12. MAKE SURE TO TIP VERY WELL. Bartenders are more likely to ignore the fact you aren't playing and still comp your drinks. I can sit at a bar for hours watching the games and not spend a dime on a drink, except for $20-$40 (up to $100 if I'm there for a long time) for a tip. You will also get faster service, and they will remember you if you come back later.

Wow. thanks for the advice. I will definitely take advantage of the free drinks. Anyone know which sportsbooks doesn't have a minimum to get a free drink? I want to try to hit up all the free ones.

great write up grind it out,,vegas lover from the east coast , cant wait to get back--hopefully inline for pac man - hatton in early may,,big red sox -rays seris going on that weekend so I look to cash in on "working" vacation
