Maybe things have changed but my first visit to Vegas, 1994? I was at the Flamingo sports book in the morning cashing my $10 3 team parlay winner from the night before. I was behind a gentleman that was taking for ever to cash his tickets. I was annoyed until I heard how much. It was over 70K. They specifically asked him if he wanted it in chips and he said yes. Just adding my 2 cents

There are collectable chips out there (obsolete) that state Sportsbook on them.but from years ago..All high value also so it was an option in the past.

to each his own (fabled) imagination...the Flamingo for a fact never paid (sportsbook winners) in chips in 1994. the NGCC regulation went into effect in 1988..your story has no merit, and is classified as a very mis-informed observer to a payout to a phantom winner other than yourself, grab a copy of GamingToday.com and educate yourself...enjoy your attention, that's all it is....attention, from the inexperienced...

appreciate the trivia, very sought after collectors chips from the 60's (museum pieces) like to have a few, 'worth there weight in gold'....

Sports,the guy is a joke on knowing anything about casino chips..according to serious collectors sites..and the market for new buyers is not growing as the older guys die off.Kids with IPhones don't even get into coins..

Check out the CC+GTCC convention in June at the South Point or look at the website and also the chipboard if you have any chips or collect yourself..

Only chips I'm still holding are are rarer of rare ( 60's) and Playboys from the Palms that hold big value overseas..

You are right it never happened, i was just trying to look cool by making that story up. God I was excited by my $60 win on my three team parlay, Or did i make that up as well. Right, the Flamingo didn't offer 3 teams parlays in the 90's. You are a true amazing poster. I cannot wait for more insightful information.

Here is an idea SN, pick up Michael Konik's book the smart money and read it. I realize he is only one of the most respected writers on gambling and you are an amazing cover's poster. So who do i believe? God this is a hard one. Let's see....something i witnessed in person and is written about in an actual account in a book by a well respected writer or some blow hard covers poster? Someone give me a line on this.

You do have me confused with Tomato can guy but I understand that. It is a hard job you have posting on countless websites. We all know that guy, the one who just yells and screams his point because he has no real world knowledge. You know him too he is in your mirror each morning when you get up at 10. Please get out in the workforce and be a productive part of society. Oh the 3 team parlay thing is called sarcasm.
