I don't live in Vegas I'm in Florida. But I was thinking about flying out to vegas to make some big bets.

My first question is obviously I can't travel with large amounts of cash. I bank with chase. Would  the Chase in Vegas have a problem with me withdrawing large amounts ???? or how else could I go about getting the cash I need to gamble with.

Is there a time cut off to submit my bets for the weekend ???? I was thinking about flying in either thursday or Friday. Place by bets probably fly out the next morning.

Hypothetically let's say I win. When I come back to collect my winnings. How do they payout other than cash ????

Why couldn't you travel with large amounts of money?  Are you crossing international boundaries?  If not you are perfectly within your right to bring large sums of cash to Vegas.

If you bank has a branch in Las Vegas, then you should have no problem withdrawing money there. 

Cut off time for bets in kickoff.  Lines usually go up once the games are over the week before.  You will have no problem placing bets a couple days beforehand.

If you win just mail your ticket in and they will send you a check.  Make a copy of your ticket in case it gets lost in the mail.

Like the previous post says, you can your money withdraw from a Chase branch in Vegas.

For cashing tickets other than cash, you can request a wire of funds or even a check from the casino.

If you place a bet larger then $9999.00 use casino chips rather then cash to avoid the pain-in-behind social security# file.Not anything to do with Taxes just making sure you aren't $ laundry.

I think he's referring to casino may request your info on any cash transaction over $10K. But to avoid that is pointless because for any single payout over $10K, the casino must report it to the Feds just like banks do, doesn't matter if it the original wager is from chips or cash.

Poster Dog may live in Nevada but he doesn't know wtf he is talking about in regards to wagers.The Banking Act of 1990 states that anytime a transaction is completed in excess of $9999. there has to be a report filed that this amount in CASH was exchanged.This is required if you are buying a car (cash)paying for a service(cash) or placing a wager(cash).The point of this requirement is that 10k was displayed and exchanged and the function of this law is to determine/trace Money laundering and Illegal activity.This statute is NOT an effort to tax or trace your bets with IRS and the outcome of your wager and the payoff would not be noted or determined by this filing.
If you were to buy a new car for 13k and you used cash solely the dealer would be required to file this form which would have your name,and ss#.If you wrote a check or put it on a credit card there would be no fileing.
If you were to place a wager with casino chips there would be NO filing and you would request to be paid in kind and the book would be happy to oblioge because it's a pain in the assss for the book and they don't make a cent on fileing this form.
DogMiner-don't scare the tourists or blow off about that which you don't know shiiit.I've made this bet in chips and I've been paid in chips and I never filed the Title 36 because there wasn't any cash to report..

Yes you are correct you can avoid the forms with chips. Point is any cash transaction over $10K. There's way around it, don't cash all the chips at once, or make bets under $10K at several different sportsbooks that total over $10K, etc.

No one is scaring tourists and stop inventing claims like this is for taxing and tracking of bets by the IRS, no one said that.

Bro-reading comprehension is vital.If you state that it is pointless to place a bet in chips because the book must report any payoff of 10k is a lie.If you place a bet in CHIPS and you win you simply request 'pay me like I played it' and get 21k in chips.NO cash transacted and NO title 36 form exchanged or required.You go to the cage and cash ALLL the chips and you walk.Your follow up to ways around it show you do not understand the requirements or the purpose of the regulation.
Blowing off in ignorance does scare the tourists and again if you practice -Reading Comprehension- i didn't invent any claims of IRS/taxing, I explained that this NOT an effort to TAX or TRACK the bet.

the commentary in this thread has taken an extremely 'simplistic situation' attached to a very simplistic solution, and turned it into an array of ludicrous complexities, totally unfamiliar with how Las Vegas SportBooks operate, and the initiation of transfering in coming, and out going funds from a LV Casino/SportsBook. in other words..... If you don't comprehend  the procedures of betting sports in Nevada, and actually strees yourself out about "how you're going to get all that winning money home" simply go to the Cashiers cage, and ask, that's what they're their for...not a Covers forum, that gives you opinions, and half truths, (some that are justifield, others that are beyond believe....and btw, that 10k figure is totally mis-concieved, and highly mis-understood, a player would actually have to 'snitch' on himself to comply, with this regulation as default...be creative, that's all I'm saying..the best to all, and to each his own...

BTW

All sportbooks in LV do take 'chips' (as long as they're from the same Casino) to place bets, NO SportsBook in LV Paysout in 'chips' (cash only) even if you made your wager in chips, you're not going to get chips back in winnings, and that's a fact jack

Well Jack, In January at the Mirage,there was a full slate of boxing at the casino but they were not televised,not even to the book and they weren't televised anywhere else.There were a couple tomato-cans booked to round out a lenghty card and the odds were in the -400 range.I went to the window and bet 9500 on the fav. and I could not have been in my seat more then 3min. when the final was flashed on the board- 1st round KO.I went to the sports cage and the young lady asked if I'd like chips or cash (approx.12,000).I took the chips,bet another fight 20 minutes later in chips and was paid in chips when it won.I was paid twice in chips, so Jack(if that is your name) doesn't know shittt about payoffs and has no problems telling lies about Uber in LasVegas and you still haven't replied to any questions about if you've ever taken anybody for a 'ride' in your cab.

The Banking Act of 1990 is very exact and explicit about $10,000 and what the casino must do if they even suspect that a bettor is trying to avoid title 36 and the casino must file if they even suspect a bettor is trying to avoid filing even if they don't know his name or ss#. I don't understand why a player would have to snitch on himself but the Act is clearly conceived  and well understood by the casino that if $10k cash is shone,the form must be filed. Another example of you blowwing off about that which you know not!!!!

Sorry old fella but I must put the frosting on the cake...In "January 2016 their was no scheduled Boxing card at the Mirage", nor has there been one in quite some time (they don't have the facilities) but yet you fabricate an entire scenario just to prove a point in regards to receiving winning payout 'chips' that are non existent...also, can you name just one phantom boxer who participated in a sanctioned fight at the Mirage in the month of January?  hey, your words, your admissions, hold up to your bullshitt, or I'll end up crucifying you..I don't take it litely being called out by an imbecile, your bullshitt stops right here, right now. I lived in Las Vegas for 8 years from 84-92 during which time I made my living by betting.In Jan 91, the law regarding title 36 was just being introduced and the players and the books were being bogged down by these new forms.I bet the fights at the Mirage because they were being run at the Mirage and no other book was even handling all the fights.I made a bet that was less then the 10k and after I won the bet the CASHIER asked if I wanted chips or cash because she told me that if I used chips in the future I could avoid the forms.I took the chips and used them later.I don't remember the names of the pugs but are you telling me that it was all a dream?
In regards to Sports_Network,In Covers.com General Discussion forum there was a thread titled Anyone Use Uber in Vegas?Post #17 was by a member sports_Network who was extremely knowledgable about taxis and hotels and Uber and cheapskates and typed "What do I know,I'm a cab driver who's a clown"
