When I post my spread sheets next week it should clear these issues up. I think Champ League for me started on 23rd and Rock League started on 24th (with Match 4). Sorry for any confusion...... the basic principal is they are out of a match when they lose.... until then you double up til game 6. I have Matches 2-4 going and called Match 1 off a while back. I may start a Match 5 by the end of the week as teams dwindle down by winning out.
Commentary
It appears all it takes is a Gippy "threat of elimination" to stir up a dog. I have made three open threats of elimination...once against Miami and twice against Houston and each time has resulted in a win for the good guys. Still all 30 teams in play. big day for me today.
Rock League
Match 2
Pittsburgh 160/242
Angels 40/58
Match 4
Cubs 40/54
White sox 10/14
.It appears to me there are certain teams the odds makers are doing a good job of handicapping. The Pirates are an example. They are a decent team but as a dog they are 3-7 on covers charts and my books havnt had them as a dog when they have won. They are right on the Gipppy Mendoza line and if they lose today will be putting me in a big money game 6...... The next time they are dogs, I will be sweating and my profits in Match 2 will be at stake. I don't like teams that put me in such a situation.. They have a 3 game losing streak and an 4 game streak. If they continue this trend..... they will not make the cut after the break.
I hope to publish all dog data next weekend as our database grows. Hard to figure why the oddsmakers love Detroit so much, and Boston, you would think they win daily. If nothing else it proves my theory is right.
Good Luck

Sorry that's confusing
If they win they are out of the match. If they lose the next time they are a dog you double the bet each time up to the game 6. The team is in a match til they win or lose 6 in a row as a dog. Then the match is over for that team

Hello Dan
Yes we are facing out first big money game 6 of the year, assuming my books have Pitt as a dog which they would have to be. Winless Morton vs Tillman at 3-1. Baltimore well rested at home against a traveling Pitt team. On the good side these team are pretty evenly ranked. ESPN power rankings have them as Pitt 13 and O's 14. In my unofficial dog rankings the O's are a much better team at least as a dog so far. I believe oddsmakers have given Pittsburgh to much credit this year after the miracle season of a year ago. I think the Bucs spent the off season reading their old headlines with McCuthcheon polishing his trophy. I will be at my local watering hole sweating my first big money ganme of the year. $320 in the Rock League, and $160 in the Champ League. I will be wearing my Pirate hat from Halloween
To answer your other question without spending a lot of time to go back and figure it out it may be something as simple as bettor error on my part. I must admit playing 3 matches in 2 leagues has been at times a logistical challenge. I have tweaked a few things that have helped. One is I have all my live matches on one long spread sheet where I can see the current status of all teams in each Match. Also I have made the simple adjustment of listing all the teams in alphabetical order. Simple but effective.
Good Luck and Go Bucees tomorrow!

Another thing that can make it confusing is when you play two leagues, one team may be a dog and win out but not be a dog the same day with the other bookie. For instance my plays today

Champ League
Match 2
Oakland 20/26
Cleveland 80/80( 5th game even though they won out somehow in the Rock League)
Match 4
Milwaukee 5/7.50

Rock League
Milwaukee in Match 3
10/14
Oakland Match 2
40/51
Cleveland Match 3
40/41
It makes me think I may just go with one book and just increase my betting size, but I will finish out all of these matches as far as they take me to the Allstar break.. After the All-star break I will definitely just be playing one league (or book) at a time when I go 100-3200, and have all the data I need.

I couldn't agree more. I wish I had time to shop but alas I do not, at last at this point in my life. More power to those who got Pitt out of their match early. True it will probably cost me match 2 if they lose but I have the bankroll to survive. In any event after I have the dada I need there will be little chance I'll be in this situation after the break, but your point is well taken .....I often see thev-102 dog and I pass on principal. If you have the time to shop you have a big advantage with the system
