Wait, you guys are betting on practice games?
Day 2 and sac is already prepared to lay juice. Barney is already on the anti Yankee bandwagon. We could be in for a wild ride. So far I am still looking, hate to break a streak of one.

This is a thread for true degenerates only, follow at your own risk.
If Big D wont be able to deliver, I will see myself forced to step in and I'm utterly clueless, when it comes to spring training

I must question this post, maybe only 4 stars?
Rays at -140 now, Miami down to even. Technically I didn't lay juice with the flat bet.
The Dodgers are -205 this morning for 1 or 2 innings of Trevor Bauer...and who's to say he's in mid season form?
That's insane.
Toronto is -175 for Robbie Ray?

Cool article, finally someone is starting to acknowledge this guy(probably bad for odds). While all the videos pertain to the location of his pitches, watch the dude's delivery. Tell me exactly when can the hitter start tracking his pitch? He does a great job of hiding the ball. I've mentioned this in the past, and it was the first thing I noticed about him a couple years ago. Just watch the 93mph fastballs that look more like 98. The hitter's eyes are late.
Combine this with pitches that he's controlled on the edges, and he's unhittable.
I think Gallen makes ex Marlin #48 to be released by Miami and kick ass elsewhere. It's truly amazing how much talent that organization produces, and more often than not, lets go.

FD has
TOR -182 / +150
LAD @ -220 / +180
Usually these types of lines are when a manager announces he's putting in the hotdog vendor to pitch the complete game.

"Technically I didn't lay juice with the flat bet."
Technically your azz. Try to fool the kids, not the old timers. When you accept 80% of the risk as profit you are laying juice. Flat bet or add the juice makes no difference.
RoR never lies. 80% profit potential is laying juice. You try to be one of the most honest and transparent guys on this site. Don't mess with integrity, semantics or word play.

Beating the closing line always feels good. I seldom do.
Actually winning the bet feels better. I often do.
Rationalizing that flat betting risk of 100 to win 70 is laying the same juice as risking 100 to win 120 is something I need to add to my repertoire.

The Rays call it after 6! Rigged. Where's Jeg? Probably Kevin Cash's decision to save an inning on one of his minor league pitcher's arm so he can use him in the 2025 World Series
1-1-1 +0.10
YTD 3-1-2 (+2.60)

Couple questions here, why are these games only 7 innings and I hope this is not a preview of the regular season with pitchers doing one inning only, I know it is the start of pre-season but they are looking like more of last season, how can you have lines of -200 already.
Take any underdog but is 7 innings now the new norm for these games or why not just do regular season games at 7 innings then you only need your starters to pitch 4 innings, Bauer could start 3 games a week then and get 40 starts like they did when they played for the love of the game.Of course they would not even have half the innings of those guys.Sandy Koufax won 167 games and is in the HOF, his last 4 years he won 97 of those games before he torn the tendon that became the Tommy John surgery.Last two seasons he had 82 starts and over 650 innings and it cost him his career but those 4 years he was the best, his highest ERA was 2.04 and deserved to be in the Hall Of Fame.

@JEG53
No one doubts Koufax JEG, but he is one of the reasons starters no longer go 40+ starts. Ending a career early has its lessons and baseball learned that one. I believe a healthy staff should go 30 starts plus the post season but 30 starts at 6 innings plus is already asking for Tommy John or early retirement. I think they are going slow with 7 inning games early on in S.T. to establish just how much recovery from lack of activity last year is costing the shape and readiness of players. Don't get too upset with this yet, it is probably only a temporary precaution. Patience and peace.

3 game went 6 innings today, when managers are supposed to agree on 5, 7 or 9 the day before the games. Jeg, you're a bartender, as good as a lawyer. A little help please.
BigD, nice win, Key 2-0
Sorry Barney, you went with the Funkhouser. Told you not to bet on the rich kid. Forgot your other play

Spring Training 2021 [ 2-0 / +215 / RoR +107.5%]
Line closed as high as -115 Barney so there is another opening-line-beater.
Comment: On the attack. Sac, are you going to do a daily recap of results for the regular thread participants? And, when is Puff going to contribute something other than whining?
