fuck, I just missed being the 1000th post
@barneybeans
ABSOLUTELY NOT. If a six man rotation were used it would further dilute an already shallow pool of quality starters. A five man rotation allows about 30/32 starts a year max, far less that the 40+ Koufax attempted. I can't name a single reliever or minor leaguer I want to see replace a starter that just had 4 days of R&R. Ridiculous, Ludicrous, Insane. Do I make my feelings clear?

"Do I make my feelings clear?"
Every year, when I pose the the same goofy question about 6 man rotation.
To which I will throw in: "Just add a 6th starter and not a reliever or Minor Leaguer". JEGs LAD have 6 starters if I remember correctly.
In all seriousness what happened to Koufax or any pitcher who throws past their capacity and ends up injured or shortened career always makes me sad and should never happen.
At least I didn't suggest Babe Ruth start @ #6 for JEG's Yankees.

They're playing, Detroit up 4-0. I wanted to bet them.
More bookie shenanigans!! They knew they were vulnerable and didn't offer a line. Scumbags

I have always wondered why they did not have the Babe pitch also, he could of had 300 wins to go with his HR record and all he did as a hitter, but really the last couple years using relief pitchers to start games which I think is stupid, but it could be argued that teams are using 6 starters or more really already though it has been one or 2 innings before the starter came in who only has to pitch 3 innings to qualify for win now.
Also about Koufax, reason he torn that tendon IMO was that wicked curve he threw at 90 something mph, he had to of put a lot of pressure on it with the snap , back then look at all the teams and you add up the starts between the 4 starters, esp. the contenders and those 4 pitchers will add up to 154 or 162 after they added the 4 teams. So quite a few pitchers started high 30s games and 40 some years and very few or a small % anyway had injuries that ended their pitching day. Mark the Bird could be another with that strange delivery he had, but the Guys that threw hard Gibson Drysdale Ryan, though I wonder if Ryan took a few Roids himself, had lots of starts and innings pitch for many years.

Love that comment to Key, .

They are going to call it a game in the 6th...they're on to us boys

If anyone bet the Rays...Kevin Cash just watches David Hess get bludgeoned to death over 1.1 quality innings of 7 earned run ball.
But when a guy gives up 1 hit in a WS while spinning the best game of his career, better to pull him then.
I'm anti anything Rays this year. I see them burning

Sac, I had 20k on the Rays to win the world series. foolishly, I made my bet before the WS even started. I made my bet when the Rays were up 3-0 on the Stros and the Dodgers were down 3-1 to the Braves. Even after the Dodgers came back to win vs the Braves, I had a feeling that the Rays would get it done. Their pitching, timely hitting, bullpen, and the emergence of Randy Arozarena had me confident. I'm convinced Cash threw that world series. No way you pull your ace for Nick Anderson who had given up a run in every outing pretty much before that coming in.
