@barneybeans I have always wondered why they did not have the Babe pitch also, he could of had 300 wins to go with his HR record and all he did as a hitter, but really the last couple years using relief pitchers to start games which I think is stupid, but it could be argued that teams are using 6 starters or more really already though it has been one or 2 innings before the starter came in who only has to pitch 3 innings to qualify for win now. Also about Koufax, reason he torn that tendon IMO was that wicked curve he threw at 90 something mph, he had to of put a lot of pressure on it with the snap , back then look at all the teams and you add up the starts between the 4 starters, esp. the contenders and those 4 pitchers will add up to 154 or 162 after they added the 4 teams. So quite a few pitchers started high 30s games and 40 some years and very few or a small % anyway had injuries that ended their pitching day. Mark the Bird could be another with that strange delivery he had, but the Guys that threw hard Gibson Drysdale Ryan, though I wonder if Ryan took a few Roids himself, had lots of starts and innings pitch for many years. @BIGDTITLE Love that comment to Key, . GL to you guys today!
I can see the argument of putting in a closer to open the game and pitch to the top of the lineup. I don't like it, but I understand.
Talk about strange delivery, one word: Luis Tiant

ok........my 2nd official pick of the season......... going for that 100% win percentage Rangers +128 GL
Re watching the game now. You are one lucky sob my friend. The Sox had the bags juiced with Jose Abreu up at the plate. But then, the manager was kind enough to let the inning end since the Rangers pitcher had reached his pitch limit...
You can't make this stuff up, at the same time it's awesome

Good Luck to all of those degenerates who are actually playing with real money. Me personally I am playing 1/4 of the money as my unit level.
Back in the day really serious MLB bettors would not even think of making a MLB play until pitchers were in form, usually about 3-4 starts minimum in the regular season.
Hopefully no one is risking any serious money, IMHO. But it's great that MLB is back.

I hear what you're saying but I've heard the same argument regarding college hoops......" how can you bet the first few weeks of the season without all the data". my answer, you have a better edge before the books can gather that same data and start sharpening lines. The first few weeks are the most profitable IMO. That said, with regards to baseball and especially spring ball, the most I will bet on any given game is 1u

AGREED! Especially in NFL, those first few weeks lines are soft and based on Last season performance and some of the meaningless exhibition games as well. So you can get a really good line value with minimal home work.
Same in MLB - SOMEWHAT. Some years those big unpopular dogs > +180 first few weeks hit at 45% and other years only 30% with the big favs covering out of the gate.
