Good point, just having trouble pulling the trigger on the Marlins. Hard to ignore Dbacks #5 batting rating against lefties + Buehrle one of the worst pitchers in last 30 days. And I'll probably play Sf/Lad full game under 6 if I decide to play it.
Thanks for your thoughts

And to comment on yanks following a sox series, I don't think the sox of this season are the same. The rivalry is missing lots of character and action this year. Even the media hasn't built it up much. I don't know if I see the yanks any different today than I do any other day.

Agreed. Although Sunday Night Baseball media attention might cause a little hangover. Still, I agree that I don't think it will affect them much.
Garcia actually ranks #45 / 164 over the last 30 days. He has a very strong xFIP and SIERA meaning he's inducing weak contact but getting burnt with too many home runs. His walk rate is also tremendous. He has solid road numbers, he chews up innings without letting the game get away, and he's very efficient against righties. The White Sox have a very right-handed heavy line-up so I expect Garcia to hold them to 3 or fewer runs. The Yankee bullpen is elite and shouldn't give up more than 1 if anything. I would be very surprised to see the White Sox manage more than 4 runs today. By the way, since moving to the Yankees from the White Sox to start the 11' season, Garcia has yet to throw against his old team as a starter or in relief.
As for the Yankees, they have the #1 offense in the league against righties. Gavin Floyd has very high advanced metrics in recent play and ranks in the bottom 20 pitchers over the last 30 days. He's strictly fade material in current form. Particularly he's struggled with a high walk rate and the Yankees are the most patient line-up in the league. White Sox bullpen is below average as well. I expect the Yankees to get 5 or more today. Predicted score:
CHW 3
NYY 7

Thanks for sharing your information you've put together.
Just wanted your thoughts on Baltimore tonight. Since Dempster has been in the AL, he has been lit up.
Also any thoughts on the Reds/Phils
Thanks again.
I like Texas. Gonzalez has horrible advanced metrics. I think Texas get's after him today. Baltimore is a poor offensive team by AL standards, nothing Dempster wasn't used to facing in the NL.
Both pitchers been sharp in the Philly game. Reds offense ranked in bottom 10 against righties... Philliies O also stinks. Lean under, but the threat of weather scaring me off it. Pretty close to fair value at 7.5 and -145.

Sify, What do u think about Phil today? Leak threw 111 pitches his last start & is off a complete game 9 innings. He lost the last time he threw that many pitches & he is 0-1 at Phil. Halladay is 4-1 at home vs the Reds . Reds are 15-9 vs East & the Phils are 19-10 vs the Central. Leak lost at at Phil 7-9 , he is 0-3 vs Phil. I know Phil home after 7 gm rd trip & this is a 4 gm series, maybe better to stay away afterall.

Si1ly.. just curious, do you produce breakdown sheets for NFL as well or just stick to MLB?
I started working on NBA sheets towards the end of last season, and I've since made some changes in the off season and will be testing the results this coming season. Here's a link to the archives for my NBA sheets.
I'm working on NFL sheets, but there are far fewer games so it's difficult to analyze NFL by data alone. The NFL is more about power rankings then anything else. Constantly running reports on power rankings every week is how I try and beat the books. I'll be working on sheets like that for the fall. I think they're an incredible time saver and very useful for the gambling community.
