Achilles, who do you like for the NL Wildcard game?
I'm leaning Rockies. Interested to see where the line goes. A lot of people feeling the DBacks but the Rockies aren't a JV Team. People expecting the home team to win that game because it's the Rockies; Rockies could surprise. I love their lineup and think their guy in the mound will pitch well.

*and goooooo Trubisky. Isn't great that Cutler is pouting all ready?
Go trubisky is right! Cutler is a schlub; he's in a great situation but he just doesn't get it. Sh@tty leader wherever he goes. I have a really good friend who is friends with Jay and his wife and he told me a cray story. They went out to eat one night and this was right after cutler got his big extension in Chicago. My buddy asked him what he wanted to do differently under this contract; basically what did he want to accomplish for Chicago. Cutler told him that being a qb is just a job and that it outs good on the table and allows him and his family to live comfortably. He then told my buddy that it's no different from a 9-5 job. Can you believe that sh@t?! That dude stole money from Chicago and at 10 million he's laughing straight to the bank again. What a p.o.s.
As for trubisky, question for ya. I got into a debate with some of my guys and it was about next year's qb draft class. I said even though trubisky has no real talent around him and may struggle, IF he raises any questions or concerns, the bears would be dumb not to seriously consider a Rosen, Darnold, Mayfiejd of Rudolph next year. Sure it's having two blue choppers but as I know you know, it's all about winning and the only way to do that is to get a qb. Next year's class is stacked and I'd hate to see the bears automatically denounce the idea of getting one of those guys simply to show loyalty and patience to trubisky. I hope trubisky does well and I hope they are patient with him but again, an ounce of doubt.....bears can't be reactive and allow all the teams who need qbs to grab one of these guys and pass us up. Thoughts bro?

i keep hearing that the pressure is on the yankees and I guess i agree to an extent, but these are two fairly young teams. Yanks imo are far more talented in all facets of the game than the twins and with the twins being on the road, you can't tell me they won't feel pressure tonite. Of course Yanks will feel pressure but with their depth and their monster lineup, Santana better keep his pitch count down and keep the yanks off the base. It's anyone's game tonite so don't be fooled but talent wise, I think there is more room for error for the Yankees than for the twins. I am leaning that the Yanks dominate tonite; still got time.

Rockies on the road are a different team.. too inconsistent. D-Backs are a really balanced team especially at home. Twins have a better chance as a dog than the Rockies do..

You trust Fernando Rodney with the game on the line? You think Greinke snaps out of his mini slump? These are big issues in what will probably be a tight game. I think the offense of the Rockies is just as dynamic as the DBacks and one could argue that ALL the pressure is on Arizona considering they are expected to win this game because of what you point out: the Rockies are not as good on the road. Is Arizona a really tough place to play? Nah. This game will come down to the bullpen in that I think both starters pitch well. You wanna put your money on Rodney; go for it. As for the Twins, I like their squad but talent wise, Yanks are better almost everywhere. I like Girardi better than Molitor as well. Enjoy the games.

Yankees ML (Im not buying the pressure junk; the Yankees are the better team and I feel they are just as loose as the twins supposedly are according to so many; depth and bullpen are far superior and I feel Santana has to be near perfect tonite: not sure that happens)
OVER 7.5 (I don't see many people on the over and all day over has been knocking at my brain: I think we see a few long balls tonite and I think 8 is approachable. Lots of bop in both lineups and good base running by both teams)

My buddy in Chicago swears by Trubisky. He's a die hard bears fan and says they have a franchise QB now. I am not so sure didn't win much at NC and the Bears are a bad organization right now.

Not sure what else needed to be said above.....A yankee beatdown starts our playoffs with a 2-0 nite. Congrats Yankees and over backers. On to tomorrow.
56-43 overall (57%) and 2-0 in the playoffs.

ALL DAY, I keep hearing about home field and Greinke. Well let's do this then: since so many want to pick and choose stats that cater to their pick, let me throw these out there.
DBacks home record is 52-29 yet of the 10 home games they have hosted against the Rockies, each team has won 5. So BETWEEN THESE TWO TEAMS, where is the advantage? There is none.
In the 19 games, the DBacks average just under 4 runs a game. Think about that. I have. If you did, it has to weigh on your bet.
Gray, ya know, the OTHER GUY pitching tonite NOBODY is talking about is 2-0 in 3 starts. Where did those wins happen. Arizona folks!
In their last 9 starts, tell me who has been a better starting pitcher: guess
How are the DBacks favored at -155-165 tonite in a venue like Zona with the lineup of the Rockies and a pitcher of Grays talent?! Also, do I need to remind you that Rodney may get the ball late for Arizona? You trust that guy?! Listen I'm just giving you all the other side of the coin here rather than you all hearing about the "home field" advantage and the supposed GOAT Greinke.
Thoughts on this anyone? Thanks.

Gray has lost against Arizona, albeit in Coors Field, against a lineup similar to the one tonite, and the one tonite is optimal, whereas Gray was up against a sub-optimal lineup in my opinion.
When you look at these lineups against the respective pitcher, they are both sub-.350 with Arizona a little higher in .BA because of JD. If experience means anything to you, you have to give Arizona a huge advantage, Greinke knows hes getting paid what he is for games like these. Although I do think he will give up his usual homerun tonite. If theres any baserunners on will make or break the game.
I thought Severino was going to perform well last night, not thinking the his first playoff game was going to get to him, but I was dead wrong. Something similar happening is not impossible.

Gray has a couple wins at Chase field this season, but against Walker and Ray--2 pitchers with relatively bad career numbers against the Rockies and worse records at home than on the road. On the other hand, Greinke is 13-1 at home this year. So pitching advantage is pretty heavy in favor of the Dbacks which explains the line. I'm also not confident in a guy who's only been in the league 2 years with no playoff experience..the pressure on both pitchers is amplified many times what it is in a regular season game.
In my mind the pressure gets to Gray early and the Dbacks take a sizeable lead with Greinke doing what he does at home.

Experience is huge? This last time the diamondbacks made the playoffs was 5-6 years ago! What are you talking about? As for Gray going against a certain lineup in ARIZONA, does that not qualify for experience? I'm hearing nonsense here, you offer no tangible evidence to support the diamondbacks. You offer experience yet neither team has been in the playoffs for a while and so many offer home field yet zona is 5-5 at home against Colorado. We talk about Greinke yet he's been the lesser pitcher of the two his last 9 starts. And if goldy isn't isn't a good player then I don't know who is yet this guy has been very bad against gray. Please....someone tell me why the DBacks are this big of faves tonite. Anyone? Better yet tell me what the HUGE difference is between the Rockies and DBacks in this ONE game?

IS ANYONE ON THE ROCKIES TONITE. This site is all over the DBacks and when you pair that with the public being on the RL at a 65/35 clip and the ML at a 54/46 clip, watch out!
