I think Reddick has been solid in that spot all year. He's in a slump, a bad one. I think he's at bottom so I expect him to get out of it , hopefully sooner than later. I like Reddick , good ball player. No problems with Bregman in 2 spot , he hits anywhere in the lineup. Now is the time for that "guy" in the 1 spot to get on base MORE OFTEN. Lol

So here we are; what's happened in the previous 6 games is history. It's game 7 so anything goes and anybody wagering on this game should understand this. I say this because so many Yankees backers keep beating the CC card into the ground. Listen, he has been nothing short of amazing yet he's just ONE guy. He's the starter yes, but to simply put your money on the Yankees because he is taking the ball tonite....what other reasons do you have? Any? I haven't heard any other than the "this value for NY is too good to pass up" stuff....The NY bats were hot in games 3-5 and the bullpen looked great for NY yet last nite they were touched up One guy, two guys, whatever....they were hit and they didn't do anything to support their game 3-5 performance. This is important because with a team at home who has yet to lose, has already lost to CC, has one of the highest OPS in history and the lowest K rate in baseball....this needs to factor into the equation here. The Astros looked awful against CC in their first meeting but I wonder....will there be a different approach here tonite? I think so. Are Altuve, Correa, Springer, Gonzalez, Gurriel all dogsh@t?
What about the Yankees bats last nite? Cold, ice cold. With a young team like the Yankees is this the same feeling as the Indians series in a winner take all game? We'll see. Stakes are a lot higher tonite. Lastly, let's talk about Morton. The expectation is that he stinks it up again yet I can promise you the motivation will be there to pitch well at home against CC who has been lights out. Both starters probably won't see the 6th inning....yet all the eggs in the CC basket huh? I had the Astros and Dodgers before the playoffs started and I am staying with the Astros here. The Yanks have played out of their minds this year in the playoffs but the Astros lineup is awake and I expect tonite whether it's a run game or a blowout for those bats to show up against the so called "unhittable CC and NY bullpen". All hands on deck tonite for both teams. Hearing the same clowns who called out Girardi in the Indians series for not replaying "the play" back him now and call Hinch out for starting Morton is ridiculous. I'm not even gonna touch on the "Houston Strong" mentality either. It's real and it will be felt tonite. Expect the unexpected tonite all. Anything can happen. That's all I can say. Go Astros!

Astros win baby! Never a doubt in this series! Crazy how all the Yanks backers EXPECTED CC AND THE BULLPEN TO DOMINATE....I said expect the unexpected and I can bet you that no Yanks backer saw Morton and McCullers throw a 3 hit shutout. Very happy for the city of Houston. Can't wait for the World Series!

I've been surprised once all postseason. That was game 5 Indians/Yankees. It wasn't so much the outcome, it was the fact that I saw Kluber get touched up AGAIN in a huge game AT HOME when his team needed him most. Whether he was hurt; it still surprised me. So how does that play into tonite? Well....I've been riding the Astros train for a while now and I picked these two teams to play for the trophy about a month ago. I also wrote a post stating that all the people getting OFF the Dodgers bandwagon because of the so called "slump" would regret it come playoff time. I wasn't buying it. So here we are....7-1 later and they are handing the ball to Kershaw tonite. Here is where the surprise factor comes into play:
Kershaw, below .500 in the playoffs yet the best regular season pitcher we've seen in a long time. This world series imo is all about his legacy and I think it's time for him to take control of it here and now. He has the offense, he has the bullpen and he has something to prove. So I'd be absolutely surprised if tonite he doesn't pitch extremely well. I have said to many in here, don't put too much emphasis on one guy and maybe I'm going against that here but with this being a home game, him not yet having to go 6 in the playoffs and the idea that he is fully rested from his DL stint earlier in the year, this horse is ready as is his team to give him the support he needs. Keuchel has been very solid and a lot of the guys in the lineup haven't faced him but with technology, film, analytics, I think the dodgers will have an idea of what keuchel wants to do to them. I'm not saying the dodgers will win this series even though I'm leaning that way; I'm saying tonite kershaw pitches very well and he gets the run support from his teammates.
So what about this line that so many keep talking about? The idea that the true value is 45 points too high and this and that? Listen, imo the line is where it's at because of who is pitching, the idea that the dodgers have been fully rested, the idea that seager is back, the idea that the DH is a non factor and the idea that it's Kershaw, yes, the best pitcher in baseball. So if those who think +145 is simply too tough to pass up, go ahead but the value I see is with the Dodgers plain and simple because I think it's the right bet tonite. And what good is "value" in this realm if it doesn't put money in your pocket. Value tonite is that and I'm rolling with the home team. Game 2, imo will be the pivotal game and that's where the value of the Astros may be the right bet. Tonite, again, I'm going with the Dodgers.

What do I think about the Over? Obviously the pitchers are studs and obviously that's why it's 7.... But I found it interesting that games that are played in 90 degrees or above weather are over a full run higher then under 90 degrees.....Its 97 At game time.... As far as the series I think the Dodgers finally grab a series, I think Houston might win 2 games but tonight won't be one of them.... Thought maybe go against the public and bet over 7 based on that 1+ runs more in hot weather, thoughts?

Nobody asked me about the over bud, I was asking u what u thought about the total.... Because I found it interesting that there were 1+ runs per game more in weather over 89 degrees then under.... And I think it's around 97 degrees at game time.

It's all good bud, I stayed away anyway, the pitchers scared me to go over the total... Took LA, and have a NBA / NHL Parlay....GL let's go Dodgers !!!

Dodgers -112 and the Astros at -108? Am I reading this correctly? There is value in BOTH but I think there is no doubt that the majority will be taking verlander at that price. This is by far the most interesting line I've seen all playoffs. I consider this a MUST win for the Astros considering they have their horse on the mound who has been unhittable. I think many will feel the same way here. Rich Hill is no schlub though. Tough game to call here.
