i wonder who betted against the red sox all 5 games.

the telecast on opening day were yapping about how they would/could score 1000 runs this year ( hey its still possible )

The Sox will be fine.  They have a great offense (even though they aren't showing it yet - it's early and I'll give Carl and Adrian a little while to get comfortable) and solid pitching.

I still think the Sox win the AL East (this coming from a Yankee fan) but *some* Boston fans (and players) were setting unrealistic expectations before the season started.

This team has a VERY weak backend of their rotation - Beckett is hit and miss (looked great against the Yankees, but you watch, he'll bomb his next start out) and DiceK is simply mediocre at best.  And at worst he gives up 7 or 8 runs in two innings.  And Lackey?  Please.  TERRIBLE signing.  He's toast.

But Lester and Clay are a nice top end, and with that offense, this team will win 92-95 games.  100 is not gonna happen, sorry Beckett.

boston fans/team rejoice for postponed game, delaying their fate of being sweep by the rays. only a rainout will help them prepare...

We didn't have unrealistic expectations, just high expectations, i mean look at that line up, is one of the best in the game and we a 2 solid pitchers an a good bullpen.

Crawford cant hit a beach ball, Dice-K blows, they need to get rid of him ASAP, trade him for a Hot Pocket lol (who cares).

Anyways they should be fine, but like i always say "every game counts even in April", if they end the month with 18+ Ls, is gonna take a miracle to even win the wild card.

baseball is a sport like no other.
they were so bad, and now they are so hot.

its amazing to see the teams that were doing so well to start the year totally tanking now.

3-4 days ago Boston was at the bottom of the standings, now they are 3rd from last.

It was only a matter of time, and the best news is we always suck on the West coast trips and we are 3 innings away from starting out 5 of the first 6 on the trip. I was worried about this trip but there is a chance we could win maybe 3 of the next 4 games as well..
