Made plans to go see Aretha Franklin's "Amazing Grace". Crappy day as Seattle was shutout. Toronto was shutout. Took the Mets "LIVE" in the top of the third, shutout. Yankees losing 5-0 in the bottom of the fifth made it 30 innings without a run! I had enough of baseball! I have to admit despite the goose eggs for the day, I was totally entertained by Aretha. Live renditions of gospel songs backed up by her band and full choir from 1972. Aretha was AWESOME! Took my mind off the beating I was taking. Left the theater in great spirits. Got home to check if the Yankees were able to score. WOW! they actually won the game 6-5!
1-2 -95 yesterday (Mets LIVE not counted as it was not posted)
50-53 +40 ytd
Arizona +115 Yup going for a four game sweep
Miami +175 Maybe I should take the +1.5 RL
Detroit +1.5 -110 Red Sox gotta be pissed, being swept in a double header at home no less
Yankees -110 Yup going for a four game sweep
Crappy card. Gambling today. 0-4 would not be worse than 30 consecutive scoreless innings
Good luck everybody!

...that you're going, WITH, the "4-game-sweeps", instead of, AGAINST them.
Usually...NOT
...a recommended "practice", or, "formula" of success in MLB.
I don't subscribe to the anti sweep way of thinking. If it was so, there would never be any winning streaks. I rather be playing on hot teams and playing against cold teams.

Yeah, how was your concert, Tin?? Hope you had a good time, brother!!
It was a movie from a performance Aretha gave in a church in 1972. It became the best selling gospel album when it was released. It was so good that I caught myself before I stood up to shout "YEAH"! Made me forget about the baseball failing for the day for two hours.
As for the Yankees, with all their injuries, they're still better than the Angels. The prices have been "cheap" enough for me to invest in this series.

Tin what’s your reasoning behind Detroit if you don’t mind
Boston is still looking to be the team they are on paper. Both pitchers have been bad this year. But Detroit is 2-1 on the road with Zimmermann on the bump. He has a 3.24 ERA in 16 2/3 IP. Porcello has been bad no matter the venue. I don't like that HP Vanover is 3-1 to the home team this year but beggars can't be choosers. The Tigers are 13-10 (7-5 road) on the RL. Boston: 7-18 (3-6 at home). I believe they can hang and maybe win the game outright. But give me the +1.5 @ a cheap price.
