He had it down to division play per league (NLW vs NLE opponents etc etc) and also chased totals to beat a sweep ie pick a series that he would chase for total to go over or under over the three games. He had it down to only chase a three game series with how the math worked out.
From my memory there were a few things he chased that have held true for years since. His focus was on the math situational trends. One trend was the winner of the first game of a four game series was like 29-0 that year chasing next three games on ML to win 1 out of next 3. This is also a great trend to watch for on a Thursday and Sunday on last game of 4’game set when the winner of first game of set loses the next two it’s a good situation bet to jump in on the game 4 taking the game one winner.
He parsed the total and ML RL data down to divisions per league and seeded out the lower 60-70% winners and played the 80-90%ers.
Another example was NY Yankees playing at home vs AL east opponents and taking the under over three games. Deadly. AL east teams at home playing division opponents avoiding sweep again deadly. I remember these two cause I’m Jays fan and if this situation occurred where one team had won the first two games I would take the other team solo to avoid the sweep. There’s data trends within the data trends, just have to compartmentalize it.
