I been watching and following many good cappers on Covers for years. It's time to give back to this awesome community and will start posting my plays on here weekly. For starter, I'm a contrarian bettor, which means most of the time I will be going against the public or I will not play at all. Secondly, in Baseball/MLB even when you are taking underdogs with on a plus (+) MoneyLine line, you can still show positive equity by the end of the season even you have a losing record. So if you like BIG named teams and favorites, this will probably NOT work for you. I will tally my picks and keep a good record of all picks for the season. Since most of the time is already dedicated to researching for the profitable underdog plays, write-ups will not be available. Any inputs and/or constructive criticisms are welcome.
1st Contrarian Pick of the season:
San Diego Padres ML+136
Best of luck!

Does contrarian betting apply to totals as well? How can you accurately differentiate sharp money vs square money? The betting percentages on either side don't always dictate the obvious. Sharps usually bet more often on totals since it is an easier bet versus spread or moneyline to win.

@arlow1>>>Thanks Arlow1. You been a big contributor to this community as well and I have followed your plays on a few occasions before. BOL tonight!
@Stopdabookie-yes you are accurate on Sharp liking totals and yes it does apply to the contrarian betting methodology. And while I have data to tell which side Sharps are on the totals, I will be focusing on taking plus Moneyline dogs first and might be posting some total picks soon. Hopefully that helps.

I'm definitely not a chalk guy so I like your way of betting. Public is unanimously on D-backs with Greinke which nobody should blame them but I saw the percentage like 80%. In theory, D-backs should win. So, if Padres make it interesting I will look into lopsided dogs as well.
