WOW. The guy who caught the ball gave the ball back and said he didn't want ANYTHING.

So Hal Steinbrenner gave him...

Championship Suit tickets for every game from now through the World Series.

Legends seats for tomorrow's game.

And a bunch of autographed bats and balls.

 

Well...those tickets are kind of equialent to $3-4 million dollars.

I give credit to him for doing what he did...but he could have gotten a LOT. But, to some people, it's not about the money.

But lets think about it. He's going to get interviews now. He has suite tickets for the rest of the season/postseason (try figuring out the pricing on those tickets...x4 since he's getting 4 a game).

He was smart, however, for saying that he's "just trying to get by" when talking about his job. He also gave a little pitch to his business, saying what town it was in.

Those gifts came from Hal. He now gets to meet Jeter after the game...and I'm sure he'll have something for him.
