Of the 28 players in the 3,000 hit club...Jeter was the 2nd youngest at age 36 to achieve it.......so what exactly is your point?

Only fitting the most over rated played in the history of baseball trots into history with a squib up the 3rd base line.

A little late because everyone knows now... but I was shocked to learn that NO YANKEE is in the 3,000 hit club.

I was almost certain that Mickey Mantle was in there.  I knew Babe & Gehrig & Dimaggio weren't... but I thought Mantle was in there.

Guess not... so  to the most overrated regular season baseball player in the league.

And I threw in the regular season because DJ is one of the best postseason hitters in MLB history.

I think the only thing Joey hates more than the Yankees is me...so I guess I don't think to much into it.

Aside from roid users...only a Yankee would recieve this much criticism for accomplishing such a great feat.

Wow - you might have just jinxed the hell out of that 3500 - hell maybe even the 3000...Who the hell knows how serious that injury is.

I would hate to see his career end like that though...I would much prefer to see him struggle badly and be forced out of the game with ineffective play
