How about an early season playoff preview, Houston, winners of 5 of 6 vs Toronto and Atlanta, and a rare sweep in Atlanta, marching into Tampa Bay,winners of 13 in a row at home to start the season attempting to break another record. Stros +136, Rays -146,Urquidy, 1-1, vs Bradley, 2-0, his 3rd major league start.
I'll be playing this game tonight. But first I have to go to work. I'll try and finish up this afternoon. For those who know me, you never know, you might be surprised. Gotta drink my coffee. I'll be back though.

I'm giving the starting pitching matchup to Urquidy. He wasn't sharp his last outing against the Jays but his previous 2 games OTR @Pitt and @Minn, he pitched well. He's started twice against the Rays, 1-0, ERA 1.50 in 12 IP, 11 K's. Taj has started off well, vs Cincy his last outing and Boston his first game. But in that game he was sharp the 1st 3 innings and the 2nd time around the batting order, 4th and 5th inning, the Red Sox hit the ball hard, 5 hits and 3 runs total. They're comparable to Houston offensively, that's a concern IMO which could bring Rays middle relievers in early, the one and only weakness of this Rays team.
Stros lost Correa, and Altuve and Brantley are hurt, but Mauricio Dubon is hitting .329 in place of Jose and rookie LF Corey Julks is hitting .327. And of course they picked up Jose Abreu this year. This is still a good hitting team with experience, Bregman, Alvarez, Tucker, and I believe they'll cause problems for young Taj Bradley and the middle relievers.
Rays fans know the recent history against HOU hasn't been good, but this is the best Rays team I've ever seen. If Shane, Tyler, or even Rasmussen were toeing the rubber, I'd back them tonight but I think Bradley will get a reality check, lotta potential there, but still much to learn.
Rays aren't going undefeated at home and the Stros are by far the best team Tampa has faced in the Trop. 2 of the 3 games they've lost was the 1st game of the series. All good things come to an end tonight. Of course if I'm wrong, as a Rays fan, I'm good. But the play is-
Astros +141
As always good luck to all!

My thinking on Rays money is people see the home winning streak and are riding it. Believe me, the Trop is not some Huge advantage for the Rays. Like Jake said if they're gonna lose, it's probably gonna be tonight.

I think it’s partially they are coming off a high of sweeping a World Series favorite in atlanta in a revenge spot from World Series… now have to stay on the road trip and go up against another good team .. Houston is the better team tho…
whoever said this is the most winnable game for Houston.. no that’s tomorrow Rasmussen isn’t that good he’s due for regression and Garcia a much better pitcher away from home in his career and he’s due for a good start

What do you about the Bolts? I think they win tonight but I don't see them winning the series. Hope I'm wrong but Toronto may finally win their 1st playoff series since 2004, aargh...

I disagree about Ras, he's solid and has been ever since coming over from Milwaukee in the Willy Adames trade. The Stros sticks have a better chance of getting to Taj tonight, and I think they will, the middle relievers too, who other than Cleavinger, aren't that reliable. But thanks for your input.

While it doesn't matter as much in baseball, I luv it when everyone is betting on the other team. If it's football, I'm damn near counting my money, because I will win that game far more often than I will lose, even hoops.

Thanks Fuse. I tell people write-ups are good when you win, not so good when you lose. Hopefully there's sum information that will help others, even going against me, it's all good brutha'!

I see you two have a "luvfest" going on. I don't know what the deal is, none of my business but it's a shame we all can't respect others opinions. Best of luck to you!
Also, I'm not hear to convince people to play my pick, but as far as value on the Astros @ +150 or thereabouts, that's what we're looking for, good value.

I respect 99.5 percent of people here like you that post their picks and respect others. What i dont respect is children that attack people from multiple accounts thay actually put in work for the betterment of others here.
GL on stros. Hope we get it
Success is never final, failure is never fatal, and it's the courage that counts.

I really think coop has our boys ready to play tonight russo. Played well enough to win game 3 but we gotta have a good game out of vasi. He just hasnt been lockdown this year like previous years i think. If vasi plays well. We win. Man i wish i had a ticket to that game!! Im very surprised this rookie pitcher is this big a favorite against our rays. But then again, like always, the rays find a way to win. Good luck tonight. GO BOLTS!!!!

You're ?? right. They outplayed em but that doesn't always mean a win. And Vasy has struggled, he's rarely done that. You know like myself, your GT has to be at his best in the playoffs.
