EO i get what your saying bro but the strike zone is from pits to inner knee and the calls behind the plate have been disgusting tonight. im sure hernandez has seen a strike and a ball before, but that didnt change the fact that he basically calls whatever he feels like; pitch by pitch, batter by batter.

until the get rid of guys like dick bavetta -- i mean angel hernandez, keep the rules as rigid and out of the umps hands as possible is my opinion. the rule is ground rule double, to overrule that would cause so much headache. if the reds hit that ball and it got scooped, they would be penalized by it; and based on what ive seen in general, alot of people who sit in those types of seats dont really understand the whole dont screw with the home team's ball angle, so its entirely possible.

just ask steve bartman
if they didnt change the rule from that situation; they have to just leave it put imo

Everything went the Reds way today wouldnt be suprised if they tie or win it here honestly...Smyly out with a blood blister in the 4th when he should have left before giving up all those runs that big bafoon. Then the BP.........nothin else to be said....Tigers had to fight 9 reds players, home crowd, and the bad guy from that movie identity in the crowd.

NOOOO that rule isnt ground rule double unless it bounces and hops into the crowd which that did not do man. If its scooped up by a fan its fan interference and the ump makes the decision on whether the runner advances bruh. Thats the rule.

And when you talk about balls and strikes...thats a hole different story. The under was juiced for a reason....Angel Hernandez, so I was not suprised a bit by the large strike zone...he always calls it like that. There were a few big strikes that should have balls.

Can YOU catch a break?? You caught every break in this game, from the starting pitcher having a huge blister on his hand which led to pitches right over the plate. I couldnt be any happier when the opposing pitcher goes out after 4 innings the way Tigers BP has been all year. And anyone here can tell you that basketball is just as hard if not harder to cap.
