EO you might be right. im a ripped and am basing everything im saying off what i remember from an M's game i had money on with a bud like 2 or 3 years ago when an M player (no idea who right now) in the 9th i believe hit a ball and a fan picked it up in almost the exact same way and the official call was a ground rule double and the runner on first wasnt allowed to score and the M's lost by 1 run. maybe im wrong...but i remember being so pissed. one of those baseball beats that sticks with you forever and comes back up when you see the same stuff happen again..

Yeah fan interference and ground rule double are different. If it bounces and jumps into crowd I agree with the call 100% because nothing the defence can do. But everyone including Reds backers know that was a bases clearing triple/double. Oh well, at the end of the day gambling gods spoke and the right team won....but if papa fat chode blew that you would never hear the end of it switch.

Found something on the exact thing i was trying to talk about from wiki:

On July 6, 2010, the Seattle Mariners trailed the Kansas City Royals 3–2 in the 8th inning of a game. With runner Ichiro Suzuki on first base for the Mariners, Mariners designated hitter Russell Branyan hit a double down the right field line. As Royals outfielder David DeJesus attempted to make a play on the ball, a young fan reached onto the field and picked up the ball. The play was ruled a ground rule double, and the umpires ruled that Branyan would take second base and that Ichiro would take third base, denying him a potential opportunity to score on the play. The Royals went on to win, 3–2

I got the score wrong but i was pretty close  i remember why i was so pissed now cuz it was ichrio on first and he probably could have round home and all the way back to second on that bad boy. officially scored a GRD and thats what always stuck in my head 

you know its a bad beat when theres a wiki for the incident

i was honestly thinking of taking reds +220 in the bottom of the ninth. everything in this thread set up a valverde explosion so well 


and i had no money on the game but completely disagree; the tigers are never the "right team"  

but nice take back on the win anyways bud
