on the dodgers -0.5/first 5 innings, when was the last time the padres even won against kershaw let alone the first five innings even having the game dead even? what i also love about this game is that it should really be lopsided in favor of kershaw but somehow it's not that bad (78%) taking the dodgers. In looking at damage the padres do against kershaw, there were just 2 hitters that stood out, hundley, and hudson, that's it. If anything, these 2 guys might get a single here and there, but no damage. Volquez on the other hand i believe is going to be erratic and that is why i believe the betting the total is too iffy. The big bats of the dodgers like kemp have very limited amount of plate appearances against volquez also, but i believe that juan rivera or matt kemp can get a homer off volquez in the first inning. Mark ellis is also batting high in the order because he has had some extreme success vs volquez at 3/4 with a double, hr, 3 rbi, and 3 walks.

i love the dodgers to shutout the padres first 5 and score at least 1 run or more
