Tampa Bay Rays. 

What a killing bookmakers made on this team against the Yankees & Astros, public keeps betting against this one dimensional trash team and magically everything goes their way. 

I jumped on them live when they was +160. Wish I waited 1 more inning and got them +200. I almost hit em more chasing my losses off that nfl under. Everything that needed to happen happened that game. But Tampa bay is gonna get burned playing with fire like that

Fundamentally sound team however they have been the beneficiary of every break possible and the Astros have been a hot mess both in the field and at the plate

Explain "one dimensional" to us in baseball terms

I said it the other night. The rays are going to win the series simply because, whether it be offense, defense, pitching, a clutch hit, a great catch, a dp, an error, or whatever. They are getting exactly what they need exactly when they need it in every game. Consistent  fortune is not something you can beat.

Someone's been getting going against Tampa I see 

The Astros went 29-31 in regular season and people are surprised they are losing to the top team in the AL.   They were the 6 seed only because they were 2nd in their division.   Great defense and having your players to be in position to make those "lucky" plays are a result of scouting and managing.   The Tampa manager is on top of things.   I enjoy John Smoltz very much as he pointed out after long inning at bat by Tampa(the Tampa pitcher sat for a long time), Houston hits a home run and right away, the manager takes the pitcher out.   In NHL, Tampa beat a 6 seed NYIsles to reach Stanley Cup and now in MLB Tampa is about to do the same.   Some years, cities have "it".   Many intangibles why Tampa is the better team and playing the playoffs in stadiums that are not their own has cost some teams.   In 1975 Joe Morgan was MVP and hit a walk off homer in playoffs.   In 1988, Kirk Gibson did the same.   2020 it looks like Atlanta's Freeman is going to make that a trio.   Note....the first two teams won the World Series in those respective years.    There are going to be days like yesterday.   It SEEMED like many liked LaDodgers, Buffalo(NFL) and Houston "wasn't going to go down 0-3".   all 3 lost.   Good luck with your future plays.   I wish more people would add info to the Covers Forum instead of coming on here cheerleading when they win and moaning when they lose.   I for one would rather see people give informed picks(even if they lose) vs someone who wins but gives no reasoning.   We all can make our own decisions.   what do I like to do?   Fade certain people.   Some people are not meant to be gamblers.

Nothing lucky about that bullpen, the playoffs is all about who is playing the best ball at that time. This year it just happens to be the Rays. They remind me of 2010 Giants!

Actually, that's exactly what they do. It's called sabermetrics and it's winning the Rays a lot of ballgames.

Yeah, it's a hoot. You can tell winners from losers within 2 lines of the their posts, if not sooner. Just like always, the winners are laughing and raising hell , and the losers are yelling deal 'em. It does make for fun reading of the posts though.
