you both have a point. here's a solution:

lana: don't make a post in a thread promoting the opposite side of your bet, even if you do it to try and help people. people take things the wrong way and then come to your thread to bash you.

lana haters: the guy has a good record, there's no reason to talk shit whenever he gets a few wrong since you can't really argue with success. the problem is that you will never get the same results as him unless you tail every one of his picks every single day over a period of time. when people that bet one or two of his games just so happen to be unlucky enough to have bet on the losing picks doesn't make it his fault. so don't bash him when you lose being an idiot and blindly tailing one of his picks without research because he really doesn't give a fuck since he was prolly up that day.

Just a heads up.

Matt Garza laying about 2:1 to ANY team is not a Rays or no play.

You have to understand value, and Garza at 2:1 is not value.

I was on KC, but this is not a rub in your face type of thing.

I just dont understand calling Matt Garza against Gil Meche at 2:1 Garza or nothing.

Garza didn't lose that game.....clutch hitting did.... bases loaded, no outs, and no runs?? plenty of men left on in scoring position. Should never have gone into extra innings and should have been a 7-3 win by TB, just a poor hitting performance by their 2,3,4 hitters

Chris Cune, very good question and here is your answer.

He's betting 4 units now because he knows at his current 53% winning he'll never get to his "100 units" by the end of the year. Lana's picks and gambling style do not work over the long haul. Plain and simple.

I'm new to covers but have been gambling for 12 years and making a good living at it for the past 7 so I've earned the right to come in this thread and speak my mind.

He's winning 53% of his games but is up 59 units? He's going to have to bet over a 1000 games this season at his current pace. That in itself is just ridiculous.

Hutch -- Get out of here. I don't need your backhanded compliments. My record speaks for itself and all of those wins are based on similar premises as the one you have already heard me talk about. Where are your picks? It's amazing how I do a service at a success rate that not even 1% of others could do and yet I am still wrong. Why don't I see you the 1,000 times I am right about games?

First of all, I didn't give you compliment....backhanded or otherwise. I wished you success with your wagers and I mean that sincerely (and you'd know this is true if you've read any of my posts....I've gone at it tooth and nail numberous times with Helmut, but I still hope he wins money.....nothing is more important then that in my opinion).

Secondly, I've never once criticized your picks. Not once. I dis-agreed with you on a line....ONE time. And I disagreed with a line that you made something like -270 when it was a posted -170. Are you really going to sit there and tell me that I signal you out for abuse because of this ONE instance?

And are you really going to hang your hat (as far as me being on your $hit all the time) on your contention that a line was $1.00+ off at the books?

Third. I've never ONCE come into your threads and made fun of you after a loss, why would I come in here and suck your weiner after a win?

Lastly, let me remind you that the only reason I posted in your thread was in response to EDDIE......who somehow thinks that you are the golden child and that anyone who disagrees is an asshole. My only point was to show him that you're not exactly a bucket of roses when you post in other peoples' threads either.

As for my picks, I post occassionally in the penalty box nation thread. Certainly not every day.

I've never given you a hard time about posting your picks...why do you feel you need to give me a hard time about posting mine?

If we're going to have a discussion, let's limit it to the subject at hand. There is no need to go after me for only coming into your threads when you lose (that's not true and not why I posted in it today), there is no reason to accuse me of making a back-handed compliment (I never even made a compliment at all), there is no reason to get in a pissing contest over posting picks (I've never given anyone....especially you) a hard time about posting or not posting, and there is no reason to accuse me of coming in here and telling you that you are wrong (something I never did....read the post again).

But I do appreciate your willingness to completely change the subject. If you do it often enough, people sometimes don't even catch it.
