First post with plays this season. Hope everyone is having a great season thus far. I was worried about this season as Sagarin initially decided not to post rankings this year as his contract with USA Today was not extended but back in early May I noticed he was back doing it at his site sagarin.com . Not sure but hope he got a contract from somewhere or someone. In addition, Madduxsports.com had stopped posting opening baseball lines back in July 2021 - they started consistently doing it again for the last week. All is well when those sites are posting numbers so let's look at some:
Pitt Ortiz 66
120 Detr Lorenz. 67
The line opened at 120 for Detr. currently -123. I give Ortiz a rating of 66 and Lorenzen 67. Lower the number often the better pitcher. When I look at previous games played since 2009 and i find an opening line of 120 and ratings similar or identical to the above - my data/history is suggest taking the home team. My plays for tonight (always listed pitchers):
1. Detroit -123
2. Milw + 163
3. Texas - 104
4. Hous -1 -122
5. Cws +109
6. Parlay NYY/Tor Over 8 to Ari/Oak Under 9.5
Good luck all

Yesterday I was…..today kinda treading water… but we shall see.

I understand we all have insecurities and if it makes you feel better about yourself with your statement - no problem. I would only suggest try to live your life by the words Einstein said … don’t seek to be successful … seek to be valuable . You got a lot of smart people in this forum who post plays based on a variety of handicapping methods ….they share their plays, yes partially ego but it’s their passion and they try to bring others up as well with their knowledge . That’s being valuable and that’s what myself and many others in here are trying to do. Making comments is easy, putting the time and effort to research these games is not an easy process for many of us . I simply suggest follow Einsteins words of wisdom.

Thanks. These are leans - I wouldn't surprised to see the Angels pull this one out. On paper Wells is clearly the best pitcher but in these situations - sometimes these worst pitchers have their day - often in a day game. I think the Mets may pull it out as well. BOL in your decisions.

Thanks for your info. Yeah, I really like the o's and line movement with it, but also like the under. May just take the angels tt under at even money. We'll see. Best of luck
