This guy, idealist, has a dozen posts! He thinks that he is an expert and everybody else is wrong and he has nothing to show, no proof, no facts. He just comes in and criticizes people because of the way he feels. The game of baseball is just that. Johnny Vandermeer was better than Scherzer, right? He did something that Scherzer failed to do! He threw back to back no-hitters so that makes him a better pitcher than Scherzer according to idealist because he knows everything. WRONG! of course. This guy will tell you that shiit flows up too, if you ask him
I'm responding to either people posting information either based on assumptions or all together incorrect. I've responded 3 times now with stats to back up my point. Not sure where you get "no facts".
Guy posted that a kid is "6-2 with a 2 something era". If you're going to base your money decisions on information like that and turn a blind eye to people like me who are trying to help you in the face of being "offended" then carry on.

I dont know why others ask or why you would be upset by a question. Ive been here longer than almost anybody and I learn new stuff all the time. I ask so I can find out WHY you passed on a game. Its easy to explain why you like a side in a particualr game, but to give a reason to pass on the game entirely is a bit tougher imo. I'm sure a lot of times it comes down to if the juice is worth the squeeze, which in KCs game tonight you have decided it is not. Obviously you have looked at stats/pitching and whatever other angles you use to determine plays. Any info i can obtain from someone thats done their homework is very valuable. I'm here for info and fun, sorry if that upsets you.
Train, let me apologize, because you are right. You have been a loyal reader for a long time and most of your questions are pretty legit. Now and then I get upset and unfortunately this time I took it out on the wrong guy. Very Sorry. This happens because everyone has an opinion on every game and if I consistently answer every query I will get nothing else done all day and there is much to do. Please accept my apology, you were the wrong guy to snap at. I guess there is no "right guy" because my new and improved self is supposed to be ignoring them anyway. When our old friend JEG53 checks in he will probably get on my case about. that. He is my conscience you know.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

So just because a guy walks a lot of hitters makes him a bad pitcher? What about Nolan Ryan? So he stinks too? He averaged 5 walks a game in 1977 and still won the Cy Young and the MVP.

Your money your decision as key would say. Obviously it doesn't make him bad but it's to be considered and, to me for a young pitcher, much more telling than looking at W/L and ERA.
Gl with your play.

No worries brother. I know the trolls can take a toll, but I've learned to embrace them and roll with it. If you arent doing well, they dont bother you.
I hope you continue to rock this season. I love seeing guys succeed and have tremendous cumulative years because as you know, its not an easy task.
