Rays: Play to -110. I still think Odorizzi is one of the most undervalued pitchers in MLB. He was when the Shields-Myers trade went down and he was the unmentioned, unheralded asset the Rays picked up. The Royals have parted company with Shields and the Rays with Myers, but Odorizzi remains as a key part of a fine young pitching staff that can carry the Rays for years to come. He comes into this one off a knockout of Keuchel and the Astros and has compiled a 10-3 quality start record to date. He is 30-14 since the start of last year and that indicates a 68% probability of another quality, harder to achieve in my ratings than with the standard MLB description of 6 innings, 3 or less earned runs. The reality, in this day and age, with era’s way down, is more like 5/2 (3.60 era, not 4.50). Hutchison absolutely does not win without heavy run support so to lay the juice with the Jays you have to believe they will hit Odorizzi solidly. Considering he is a skilled strikeout-ground ball pitcher I don’t think that is likely to happen. False favorite, take the bonus $.
I may have another later and will try to let you know asap.

You talking to me?
My post isn't directed to YOU or anyone else in this thread.
It's specifically directed to Key. If he has a problem with me telling him what price I got for the play or wishing him good luck, he'll let me know. MYOB. Thanks.

I'm on this today, Key. Odorizzi has amazing BABIP numbers currently, and Hutchison still struggles to keep men off base. Not sure where this lines come from... but I rarely am, ha. I suppose one looking at the various ERA metrics might find a tiny edge for Hutchison, but those normalized numbers hide the fact that one of these guys maintains his numbers with a lot less 'work out of trouble spots'.
Rays should have been favorites here, and we love getting true favorites at plus odds

and you think everyone wants to see a million posts saying good luck key? i go to this page for info. not D sucking
You can scroll up to Key's original post to see the "info" you crave. Simple enough. This is, after all, Key's thread. He always posts quite a bit of reasoning and analysis backing up his selection(s).
The fact of the matter is people here are grateful for Key's hard work at handicapping these games. Look at his record. Speaks for itself. I've made money following his plays, as many here have. People posting "thank you" or good luck" to Key isn't "D sucking." It's a way for people benefiting from Key's plays to show gratitude. Common courtesy IMO.

A nice way to adjust for different ERA's (or other metrics) over different years is to look at ranks of players. Take the top 10 or 20 or whatever that qualify to form your list.

The Rays should be favorites ? ! Wow. c'mon Betty. Toronto averages nearly 2 runs a game more than Tampa and Hutchinson has been outstanding at home with a 2.12 ERA and great numbers.

Also the fact the Blue Jays have been struggling for the past month, even at home. Going 11-16 since their 12 game win streak. The Rays have won 7 of their last 10 meetings againat the Jays and looks like their bad streak has come to pass with sweep of the Astros. I took Odorizzi last time I betted the Rays and also thought Keuchel was not quite the same pitcher when he plays on the road and the Rays came through.
I shall roll with Odorizzi again. Thank you Key and GL
Sip on that plus money honey!
