New MLB Matchup Hub

We're thrilled to announce the launch of our new MLB Matchup Hub. Thanks to those who use our MLB matchup products every day, we've been able to make some changes that will help you with your daily handicapping decisions.

Here are some of the improvements we made to our MLB Matchup Hub:

Easier Matchup-to-matchup navigation for pregame, in-game, and postgame 

More intuitive navigation with tabbed data for stats, injuries, trends, previews, picks, odds, and props to make for an easier betting research experience 

Improved order of components, including team and starter summaries 

We realize change isn't always easy, but we are always open to feedback and making any necessary changes when possible. 

If you're having any issues finding matchup data, for example, weather, umpires, consensus, etc., please find the instructions below.

Consensus - You can find the general matchups consensus on the matchups page --> https://www.covers.com/sports/mlb/matchups or under 'Picks' in the navigations menu, then 'Consensus picks' > MLB --> https://contests.covers.com/consensus/topconsensus/mlb/overall.

Trends - On the Matchups Hub page, under 'Trends' in the new navigation tabs. Click on whichever team you'd like to find data for, and to find O/U and head-to-head trends scroll down further.

Weather - You can find the weather for every MLB game here --> https://www.covers.com/sports/mlb/weather
You can also find it in the 'Sports' navigation menu under MLB > Weather.

Game Odds - On the new Matchups Hub page under 'Trends' in the new navigation tabs.

Game Preview - On the new Matchups Hub page under 'Preview' in the new navigation tabs.

Umpires - On the new Matchups Hub page, scroll down to 'More Stats' and click on the 'Umpire' tab next to the 'Bullpen' and 'All Starters' tabs.
You can also find it in the Sports navigation menu under MLB > Umpires.

Player Lineups - On the new Matchups Hub page under 'Injuries' in the new navigation tabs. Scroll down past the injuries to find previous and upcoming player lineup info.

Home/Away records - You can find this information here --> https://www.covers.com/sport/baseball/mlb/statistics/team-money/2023.
You can also find it in the Sports navigation menu under MLB > Statistics and then under the 'See all Money statistics' table.

Next series info - On the new Matchups Hub page, click on the 'Series' tab at the top of the page, next to the 'Head-to-Head' and '[Insert Team]' tabs.

 I am having difficulty finding TRGS and pitcher's over under records.  Any help would be appreciated.

Pitcher information is massively less than before. The pitcher summary with home/away, grass/turf, more info vs opponent is gone. 

The old matchup pages were better and easier to navigate through …. Checking the Sask/Edm CFL game just reconfirmed it for me 

Easier to view pitchers stats before. Not a fan

Pitcher stats were more detailed before, especially Pitchers vs team.

Pitchers L5 and AVG helped a lot

I hope you didn't change this format to a more simple one in order to hide a more detailed matchup history and trends.

Please change it back simple and easy is never always better

Honestly, I don't like the new format, mainly because it requires too many clicks for me to get to the info I want.  Before, all starting pitcher info was listed on the matchup page - now I have to click on each pitcher to get that info.  Complete consensus info was listed on the old matchup page, now I have to go to another page to get that info.  Weather was listed on the old matchup page - now I have to go to another page to get that info.  These are just a few examples.  I can appreciate the effort to make it more user friendly, but you actually did just the opposite with this new format.

I agree with everyone else's comments. I have used Covers for my baseball info for a long time but find it too time consuming with this new format.

If Covers does not revert back to the old format I will have to use a different site for my baseball info. I'll be glad to return to Covers if the old format is brought back.

This.  You have less than a page for "Starters", but yet 3 whole pages for every player in the bullpen on both teams.  Don't need all that on first page.  Make the bullpen a click and bring back old starters page

This new format really isn't what you wanted it to be.    the way it was before was perfect.   having to go all these different pages to get the same info that one page gave is ridiculous.   I understand that you wanted to expand the info, but at least put it back to what it was so that your fans can look further if they want.   otherwise the info is right there on the older format.   please abandon the new format and change it back.    it was so much easier to use.

Ridiculous, not any improvement whatsoever,  plenty of terrible changes. And don't give us the change is difficult BS please. Deal-breaker if it continues...

Please change it back...This is horrible... Time to find a different website for MLB research.

I say don't really need it just dissect the line that's where the value and stats are. The line tells all and the outcome of the game I'm wrong at times but been having a good week in MLB Covers

 Yep, out of the 6 or so threads created about new format, I don't see 1 post that is for it.

Who specifically are those people that use the MLB matchup products every day and deserve thanks for these changes?  Your 3 examples of improvements are somewhat comical.  My favorite was Improved order of components.  I think that's the same order to start as the old version. 

My biggest objection is with the starters stats.  Old version had 1 page with tons of stats on both starting pitchers and only a scroll was needed.  You know the link I'm talking about.  Makes me think these changes are all about clicks, time spent on pages, page loads, etc. and nothing to do with "changes that will help you with your daily handicapping decisions."

Any updates on this?  My patience with the new format has been exhausted.

This change is a total failure...epic stupidity.

 There is literally not ONE positive response in the threads about the change to this new format.  I understand you probably budgeted for some people to adjust because nobody likes change...but you couldn't have possibly expected this negative of a response.  The old format was better!!!! Change it back!  You are losing people dude, please listen to your readership....
