MLB is all along today.....hopefully we ALL will be blessed with a few SHARP plays for the ORACLE.....LET'S GO!
I’m on the Orioles -126 over the Rangers. It was just eleven days ago that I elected to trust O’s rookie Grayson Rodriguez when he was matched up against Angels starter Shohei Ohtani. I wasn’t banking on Rodriguez pitching well. I was looking for Ohtani to get hit again, and he did, allowing 5 runs and a couple 2-run homers. Sadly, Ohtani atoned for that at the plate, where he struck a 3-run bomb off of Rodriguez that could be described in baseball jargon as a “no doubter.” Ohtani’s teammates also had a good time, getting on base a dozen times with eight of those baserunners scoring. I’m giving Rodriguez another shot tonight and I’m confident he’ll deliver a quality start.
I am high on this Orioles team and am thinking of some futures action on them.

Oh man you're high on my team! Lifelong fan. Only thing is I'm not high on Grayson . Bradish and wells a lot more upside this season from here I think. Grayson tires out fast and I'm not sure he ever got over that lat strain. He struggles 2nd time through order it seems and even when he shines tough to expect more than 5ip and not sure the plan is to let him go beyond that. Damn first time we on opposite sides! Hate fading my team but on opposite side. GL to you though and on that futures action as well

Okay, no more Grayson Rodriguez. I need to see him sent down before I consider a futures bet on this team. That was beyond pathetic.
He gave up 8 runs the last time I bet on him and 9 runs this time. No more of him.

I’m on the Pirates +149. I’ve trusted Mitch Keller a number of times between this season and last when he’s pitched at home. I’m ready to back him on the road.
I was going to split my action between +145 and +1.5 -155, but when this +149 came up, I decided to just risk the entire bet on that. Let’s see if I get burned!

The laughably bad defense displayed by the atrocious A’s in the top of the 3rd was something to behold. First, Jace Peterson tracked a popup down the left field line but fell down as left fielder Seth Brown watched the ball land an inch or two in fair territory. Bases loaded with one out instead of 1st and 2nd with two out. After James Kaprielian induced a popup for the second out, briefly giving the illusion that the Bad News A’s might escape the situation, catcher Carlos Perez let a pitch tick off his glove and go to the backstop to bring in the third Astros run. Corey Julks then eagerly stepped into the box and quickly ripped a Kaprielian meatball into center field. Esteury Ruiz then humiliated himself with a throw, uh….”home” that was retrieved by Perez halfway up the 1st base line.
The Astros were up 5-0 and I conceded this action. Actually, I conceded it the moment I saw Peterson and Brown make fools of themselves with that popup that fell for a single to load the bases.

The Astros understandably lost interest in this game after laughing themselves silly while those runs came across in the top of the 3rd. Their at-bats over the next four innings could politely be described in one word as “disinterested.” Meanwhile the A’s offense has finally been heard from as Seth Brown cranked a home run after Brent Rooker began the bottom of the 7th with a single.

Both Mitch Keller and George Kirby sported microscopic ERAs in their last three starts, and the result of that was major steam on the under within an hour of gametime. The public’s always looking for the easiest route. They got it with the Astros, but not with under 7 in Seattle.
I considered the over in Seattle earlier today, but I didn’t go for it because I hate betting overs. Over 7 +120 was available shortly before the start of the game but still I wouldn’t go for it. I feel badly about that now. The Pirates really smacked around young George Kirby.

Mitch Keller’s officially having an off night, too, after he coughed up a 2-run single to center with the bases loaded and two outs. Pirates lead 7-4 after five. These two teams will probably wind up more than doubling the total of 7.

The Astros again went quickly and quietly in the top of the 8th. Are these boys asking for trouble? Because it feels like they’re asking for trouble.

Oakland’s #9 hitter Nick Allen COULD’VE gotten the bottom of the 8th inning off to a promising start as he was giving the Astros’ Hector Neris a heck of an at-bat. But, it ended with him looking at a fastball down the middle, so no promising start for the downtrodden Athletics.

That’s because the Astros batters flat out quit trying to do anything SIX innings ago.
