Basically exactly what you said Sparky except for the NL West.
Here's my situation with the Padres. Latos may be hitting the DL right out of the gate as he felt a "tug" in his last outing. And if he doesn't...they've already said they will have to cut his innings at one point. And the same may have to happen for Richard too as he's about 2-3 starts away from doubling last season's total. And that's what has held this team together. Pitching. That's my concern with them and the reason I have to write them off.

I don't know man. How trust worthy can Billingsley/Kuroda be? How long can Padilla keep it up throwing his 50 mph curveballs? Obviously I they're still in it. Especially with that lineup and Kemp starting to come around.
My thoughts are the Giants' rotation will lead them to the playoffs. There is talk that Bumgarner won't have an innings limit so if he pitches like he has in his last 2 starts...that's a nasty addition to Lincecum, Cain, Sanchez and Zito. And I expect Sandoval to start hitting in the 2nd half (not for power but average). I think Burrell will contribute a lot to this team. Huff should continue as well and they very well may get another bat that would seriously help that team.
Just my opinion of course.

Looks like the Rockies will be ready to go on another second half tear. Though, they'll open up to a tough road swing.
I do like them too. Ubaldo and Hammel should have strong 2nd Halves as well as getting De La Rosa back in the mix. Cook has his moments and Francis is the same. But it's a great bullpen they have there.

Hey question for the yankee fans, you think AJ Burnett is worth trading for Billy Butler. I already have good 1st baseman and looking for another pitcher.

EUROPA_ ARE you serious?? Redsoxs to win the AL EAST??? ARE you insane my man? forgot about all those injuries- beckett-pedoria-v-mart-bucholz_ plus many more. Give the redsoxs everyone back healthy and they still won't beat the yanks, but hey I'm just guessing as well. atleast mine is an educated guess

Baseball plays through long season, a good team like Red Sox could have a 20-5 winning streak in September and take over #1 position after the injured players coming back healthy. That's an educated guess.
