This rain delay is a blessing for Rockies backers. Most likely game will get called but if it doesn't CC will no come back and he was on fire

I'm in Denver at the airport which is about 30 mins from the park and it isn't raining here at all...this should pass over quickly

I'm 15 miles away from stadium and in the direct path of how the storm in coming in.  It's coming down pretty hard right now and it's not much better to the west.  We are looking at a good 70 minute delay.

Game shouldn't get called...but it's going to be a nice long wait.  I agree though....CC is done for the day...same with Francis.  Certainly favors the Rockies.

Clear blue skies just about 10 miles north of Coors Field.  However...pitch black to the NW and West.  All depends on which way this thing blows.

Yeah you're right. They'll get the game in but this really favors the Rockies. Francis was an inning or 2 away from disaster and CC was on a role.

Pitchers cool down and have a terrible time getting warmed back up if they stop pitching for an extended period of time (i.e. rain delays).  Muscles tend to stiffen up and they risk injury.

girardi wont fire up cc arm again. pitchers can get injured badly by doing so. arm is good when not breaking to long. but over a hour or so its best to shutdown the pitcher.
