I can't say I trust the runline here...but the best team(imo) in the NL v the worst team(statistically) in the NL and the best team is home giving up less than 200? I enjoy my chances with them winning as they always find a way to. The Cards are 5-2 with Boggs on the mound. He has a 3.43 home ERA in 21 innings while Stammen has a 4.18 road ERA. Although thats better than his home ERA, it's still not great when you think about the lineup he's facing here. And after such a heartbreaking loss here after having the lead for most of the game, they may just come out flat all together. The way favs have been playing lately...this may be scary to take.

His problems...control and he's facing the Rockies. Sandoval is back for the Giants(made that known with a homer in Friday's game) and thats a huge help for them. While the Rockies are on fire...still...the Giants are 20+ games over .500 with a pitcher on the mound who can keep them in the game. Marquis can also keep the Rockies in the game though. And they find ways to win. But the Gians are 2-1 against the Rockies(before Friday's game goes final) at AT&T while the rest of the series' matchups have been in Colorado where the Rockies are 6-3. Time to even this series where they know how to play, dontcha think? Carlos Gonzalez will still probably be out and this game will be close, no doubt about it. It will be low scoring, we can determine that, but this could go to the home team with the much weaker offense simply because of how this team plays at home. And if Bengie comes back, it's even better.

Rockies hit .210 v lefties on the road and .194 v lefties in their last 10 games. These 2 pitchers just met but the game went over because of 8 runs in extra innings, not because of the 2 runs given up through 9 innings. Zito also pitched 7 scoreless innings to get a ND earlier in the season at AT&T where the Giants won 1-0 while Marquis pitched a complete game where he gave up 1 in the 9th and the won 5-1.
