I did lean on Tampa, I really did, but Price is not worth backing on the road. No way. But Tampa can score 10 alone against Nate and I think vice virsa as well. I think it will be an interesting slugfest.
no way will they even score 5 runs off nate today... i hate the over now.

some of the TB players are shocked by the trade but they understand that their management must know what they are doing.. the rays management consists of three former ny wall street friends that purchased the team a few years ago.. great businessmen.. i think it was a good trade for both teams but I on detroit today because there is no way in hell price should be favored on the road and the perception of Nate having trouble when in his first game back is WAY OVERBLOWN.. he will pitch just fine if not great.
detroit is like 41-20 at home and they actually have something to play for.. TB is done.
I have to agree...but my money can't go on Nate Robertson. It just can't.

NBA fan, Price has a bad habit of relying on his fastball way too much, and yea, those do turn into flyballs, the over the fence kind. He's got a nasty slider, when it's on, it's in the 90's and eats up RH hitters. He's not consistent with it yet tho', certainly not consistent enough to back him with $$$, especially O.T.R. Hope that helps some...

Fair enough - I was just throwing it out there. Good luck - the over is the play IMO.
Anyway, looking further into Tillman, I don't have confidence in him (BABIP and LOB%). This game seems more like a tossup, but at + money it's solid since regression doesn't have to happen and what you mentioned.
My only play of the day will probably be SFO. Zito is at his best in AUG/SEPT, COL is 7-12 vs. LHP on the road, and the bullpen strongly favors SFO. Marquis has been good this season, but he isn't this good (HR/FB and BABIP) -- he really hasn't changed much from last year when you look at his stat sheet (walks are down, but strike outs are down, as well) Remember, SFO slammed him after seeing him the game prior, which is the situation today.
Lastly, is one win enough to avenge last weeks COL sweep?

Tossups go tot he home dog.
Hey...I have to defense Marquis. He's having a great season and should pitch well here. I just think the Giants pitch better. And hopefully I'm right for our sake. But I still think the under is the better play. But there is more incentive to beat the Rockies now...thats for sure.
